1999 Subaru Forester Overview

All-new, the 1999 Subaru Forester is a mid-size five-passenger vehicle that straddles the line between a wagon and a sport utility vehicle. The Forester is equipped with Subaru's excellent AWD system as part of the standard equipment. Standard on all trims is a 2.5L horizontally-opposed four-cylinder engine which produces 165 hp and 166 lb-ft of torque. The Forester is rated at 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.
