The all-new limited production1999 Isuzu VehiCROSS is a concept car that is now a reality for Isuzu. The two-door, 4-passenger SUV features radical design, a potent powerplant and serious off-road capabilities. Powering the VehiCROSS is a 3.5-liter 4-cam V6 borrowed from the Trooper, delivering 215-hp and 230 lb-ft of torque, linked to a 4-speed automatic good for 15/19 mpg city/hwy. A Torque On Demand 4-wheel drive system and first production use of monotube remote reservoir shocks help this small Isuzu handle like a sports car on and off the road. Inside Recaro bucket seats trimmed in red leather accents and carbon fiber door panels continue the concept car theme. All together the VehiCROSS is like no other small SUV.
