Offered in GS, GL, GLS and now an all-new Premiere Edition, the 1999 Oldsmobile Silhouette minivan provides 9 exterior color schemes and 3 interior tones. Sold in 112-inch and 120-inch wheelbase versions, the GS trim level of the Oldsmobile Silhouette is the only shorter wheelbase model. With 7 passenger occupancy standard, the 1999 Oldsmobile Silhouette offers available 8-passenger seating or optional 6-passenger capacity with rear captain's chairs. Standard on the 1999 Silhouette GS model is air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and roof rack. Leather seats optional on the GL trim becomes standard equipment on the Oldsmobile Silhouette GLS. The 1999 Silhouette Premiere Edition features a rear seat entertainment system comprising of a folding 5.5 inch screen and video cassette player. Connection for camcorders and video game systems is also present on the Premiere model. Powering a front-wheel drivetrain, all 1999 Silhouette minivans use a 3.4 liter V-6 engine mated with a 4-speed automatic transmission. The 1999 Oldsmobile Silhouette 185 horsepower is bumped up for 5 horsepower over the previous year's model while still maintaining 18 miles city and 25 miles highway for every gallon of gasoline.
