2000 Volkswagen Passat Overview

The 2000 Volkswagen Passat, a mid-size car with seating for five, is available as a sedan or a wagon. The Passat offers a greater level of interior volume than the Jetta in sedan form, and lots more space in wagon form. Two engine choices are available; a 150 hp 1.8L turbocharged four-cylinder and a 190 hp 2.8L V6. Both engines come paired with a five-speed manual as part of the standard equipment, however a four-speed automatic is optional. The Passat has a fuel-economy rating of 24 mpg city/31 mpg highway with the 1.8T or 20 mpg city/29 mpg highway with the V6.
