2002 Toyota Prius Overview

The 2002 Toyota Prius is an extremely economical Hybrid designed for the environmentally conscious, with better-than-excellent EPA estimates coupled with the convenience of five passenger seating. The Prius features a 4-cylinder gas engine and electric motor combination under the hood. The engine generates 70 horsepower from a 1.5-liter gas/electric inline 4-cylinder mated to a 1-speed CVT automatic transmission. EPA estimates peg the Prius in the 52 City/45 Highway range. The Prius comes nicely equipped with auto climate control, cruise and keyless entry.
