2011 Jeep Compass Overview

Offered in base, Latitude and Limited trim levels, the 2011 Jeep Compass presents itself as more upscale compact crossover while continuing to be sold for a modest price. The 2011 Jeep Compass most notable design change is the adaptation of new headlamp housings and grille that replicates the refined character of the flagship Grand Cherokee. Inside an new interior fitted with a redesigned steering wheel and soft-touch materials, standard features on all 2011 Compass models include air conditioning, 12-volt power outlet as well as power windows. Front-wheel drive is standard on every trim level of the 2011 Jeep Compass with optional all-wheel drive capability. For moderate off-roading, a full-time, four-wheel drivetrain known as Freedom Drive II will be available for the first time on the Jeep Compass. While exterior and interior styling has been altered, the inline-four powerplant choices of the 2011 Jeep Compass is carried over from the previous year. On two-wheel drive base and Latitude models, a 2-liter four-cylinder is equipped to deliver 158 horsepower fitted to either a five-speed manual or CVT. Also featuring CVT or five-speed manual transmission choices, the 2011 Jeep Compass Limited, four-wheel drive Latitude offers a 172-horsepower 2.4 liter powerplant that bumps out 165 foot-pounds of torque. The larger 2.4 liter engine is optional on the lower trim levels 2011 Jeep Compass.
