A sports car with the capability of carrying four occupants for short trips, the 2011 Lotus Evora enters a second year of production with several upgrades. Adding to the base model Evora, a new higher-performance Lotus Evora S trim. Within a body shell complying to a 0.33 drag coefficient, the 2011 Lotus Evora features standard equipment such as silver classic wheels, heated mirrors and air conditioning. Reverse backup camera and power folding mirrors are high technology features which can be added an option. In standard trim, the 2011 Lotus Evora is found with a 3.5 liter V-6 engine producing 276 horsepower. Launching the sport cars from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 4.9 seconds, acceleration of the Lotus Evora is enhanced with the S model. Powered under a supercharged 3.5 liter engine, Lotus Evora S uses 345 horsepower to propel the sports car to new performance plateaus. With a top speed of 172 miles per hour (10 miles per hour faster than the standard Lotus Evora), the 2011 Evora S achieves 0 to 60 mile per hour acceleration in just 4.6 seconds. Cross-drilled ventilated brakes is added to the Lotus Evora S for improved stopping. Continuing to carry over a 6-speed manual gearbox, the 2011 version of the Lotus Evora can also be ordered with a 6-speed automatic transmission for the first time.
