2011 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Overview

The 2011 Mercedes Benz SL-Class is a hardtop luxury roadster that comes standard with a 382 hp producing 5.5-liter V8 engine and 7-speed automatic transmission. The RWD SL550 gets an EPA estimated 18 mpg city and 26 mpg highway. For those who crave performance the SL63 and SL65 are both very attractive options. The SL63 AMG comes equipped with a 6.3-liter V8 engine that produces 518 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque while the SL65 AMG boasts a 6.0-liter V12 that produces 604 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque. Both models are RWD and while the S65 AMG comes with a 5-speed automatic transmission. The SL63 AMG has an AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7-speed sport transmission. Options include distronic adaptive cruise control, panorama roof, multi-contour ventilated seats, sport steering wheel, and tinted head/tail lamps. Safety features are comprised of active body control, pop-up roll bar, anti-lock braking system, brake assist, multi-link suspension, and 7-way airbag protection. All SL-Class models are covered by the Mercedes-Benz New Vehicle Warranty that covers all defects in material or workmanship for 2 years/50,000 miles.
