2012 Porsche Boxster Overview

The 2012 Porsche Boxster is a mid-engine roadster that is powered by a 2.9-liter flat-6 engine that produces 255 hp and 214 lb-ft of torque. Upgrading to the Boxster S trim grants the driver a 3.4-liter flat-6 engine that produces 310 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque. Additional trims include the light-weight Boxster Spyder and Black Edition Boxster, both of which produce 320 hp and a 0-60 time of 4.9 seconds. All Boxster models are RWD and come standard with a six-speed manual transmission. The Boxster gets an EPA estimated 19 mpg city and 27 mpg highway. Options include PDK transmission, Porsche Communication Management system, Bose? sound system, hardtop, and Bluetooth? connectivity. Safety is comprised of 6 airbags, Porsche Stability Management, Porsche Side Impact Protection, vehicle tracking system/anti-theft protection, and advanced four-piston aluminum monoblock brake calipers. The Boxster is backed by a 4-years/50,000-mile warranty.
