2012 Chevrolet Sonic

A sub-compact FWD vehicle available in five door hatchback and sedan trim levels, the all new 2012 Chevrolet Sonic is available with two different engines; a standard 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 138 hp/125 lb-ft of torque and an optional 1.4-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 138 hp/148 lb-ft of torque. The base engine is paired with a 5-speed manual while the optional engine can be paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. Although the Sonic will technically be "replacing" the Aveo in North America, the same car will be marketed overseas as the Chevrolet Aveo. Features include 17-inch aluminum wheels, available remote start, available USB jack, standard theft protection, standard driver info center, hands-free phone capabilities, 10 standard airbags, and 6 months of complimentary OnStar. The Sonic is backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.
