2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Overview

Now offered in a roadster trim level, the 2012 SLS AMG is a supercar powered by a 6.3-liter V8 engine that produces 563 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. Equipped with an AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sport transmission this supercar does 0-60 mph in an impressive 3.7 seconds and has an electronically-limited top speed of 197 mph. The sport chassis with aluminum double-wishbone suspension provides supreme handling dynamics. Fuel mileage falls within an EPA estimated range of 14 mpg city to 20 mpg highway. Features include bi-xenon headlamps, light alloy wheels, gullwing doors, high performance braking, sport seats, AMG drive unit with race start, and AMG door sill inserts. Safety is comprised of anti-lock braking, traction control, electronic stability control, and advanced airbags. The SLS AMG model is backed by a 4-year/50,000-mile warranty.
