2012 Toyota Highlander Overview

The 2012 Toyota Highlander is a mid-size SUV available with two different engine options; a standard 2.7-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 187 hp and 186 lb-ft of torque and an optional 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 270 hp and 248 lb-ft of torque. The base engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and FWD while the upgraded engine is paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission and 4WD. Fuel mileage falls within an EPA estimated range of 17 mpg city to 25 mpg highway, depending on engine selection. Features include 9-speaker audio system, navigation, rear seat entertainment system, power liftgate with jam protection and 19-inch 10 spoke alloy wheels. Safety is comprised of enhanced vehicle stability control, traction control system, anti-lock brake system, electronic brake force distribution, brake assist, smart stop technology, driver and front passenger advanced airbag system, front seat-mounted airbags, tire pressure monitoring system, hill start assist control and downhill assist control. The Highlander is backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.
