2012 Toyota RAV4 Overview

The 2012 Toyota RAV4 is a seven passenger compact crossover available with two different engines; a standard 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 179 hp/172 lb-ft of torque and an optional 3.5-liter V6 that produces 269 hp/246 lb-ft of torque. FWD and 4WD drivetrains are available and while the base engine is paired with a 4-speed automatic, the upgraded engine gets a 5-speed automatic transmission. Fuel mileage ranges from an EPA estimated 19 mpg city to 28 mpg highway, depending on engine selection. Features include 17-inch alloy wheels, 6-disc CD changer, touch-screen navigation system, 6-speaker sound system, integrated backup camera monitor, third row fold-flat-into-floor capability, and moonroof. Safety is comprised of vehicle stability control (VSC), traction control (TRAC), anti-lock brake system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), advanced airbags, and smart stop technology (SST). The Rav4 is backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.
