2013 Volkswagen Touareg Overview

Now featuring more horsepower from the diesel engine, the 2013 Volkswagen Touareg is a mid-size SUV available with three different engines; 3.6-liter V6 (280 hp/265 lb-ft of torque), 3.0-liter V6 TDI? Clean Diesel engine (240 hp/406 lb-ft of torque) and a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 hybrid engine (380 hp/425 lb-ft of torque). All engines are paired with the same 8-speed automatic transmission and 4MOTION? permanent AWD system. Fuel consumption falls within an EPA estimated range of 16 mpg city to 28 mpg highway, depending on engine selection. Features include 19-inch alloy wheels, navigation system, bi-xenon HID headlights, rearview camera, dual-zone electronic climate control, heated front seats and heated rear seats. Safety is comprised of a special reinforced safety cage, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electric parking brake, electronic stability control (ESC), intelligent crash response system, anti-lock braking (ABS), anti-slip regulation (ASR), electronic brake-pressure distribution (EBD), and hill descent assist (HA). The Touareg is backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.
