2012 Ford Expedition EL Overview

An extended wheelbase version of the Expedition, the 2012 Ford Expedition EL is a full-size tow-capable SUV with off-road capabilities. The Expedition EL is powered by a 5.4-liter Flex Fuel (can be run on E85 fuel) V8 engine that produces 310 hp and 365 lb-ft of torque. A 6-speed automatic transmission can be paired with standard RWD or optional 4WD. Fuel economy falls within an EPA estimated range of 13 mpg city to 20 mpg highway, depending on drivetrain selection. With the optional heavy-duty trailer towing package the Expedition increases towing capacity to 9,200 lbs. Features include heated/cooled front seating, power folding 3rd-row, power-adjustable pedals, trailer sway control, rain-sensing wipers, keyless entry remote, HD radio, rear view camera, Ford SYNC?, integrated blind spot mirror, navigation system, front park assist, power liftgate, and reverse sensing parking system. Safety is comprised of stability control, six standard airbags, traction control, anti-lock braking system, and SOS Post-Crash Alert System?. The Expedition EL is backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.
