I recently purchased an XC60 from Lovering Nashua. Andrew Donaghue was my salesman who was most professional and attentive to my needs. I have owned 3 volvo's and all wagons so the transition to a SUV was a change for me. Andrew made sure I was comfortable with this decision explaining all the differences and making sure I had enough test drives before making a decision. Scott was extremely helpful in explaining Financing options. The entire team, Andrew, Scott, Anita, Paul and Rick Lovering made my experience smooth, comfortable and stress free. They contacted my insurance company, got plates and inspection sticker. Love that kind of service.

We knew exactly what we wanted in our new car, and went on the internet to find local dealers that had it in stock. One was Lovering in Nashua, NH. I emailed Lovering and asked if the car was still available, and specifically asked if it was new. They confirmed it was available, and sent me the description. (The description had all the options we wanted, and said the car had 11 miles on in.) We exchanged a couple of emails (including a discussion of price), and everything looked fine. I decided to make the trip (about 50 miles one way) so they could evaluate my trade-in and we could finalize the deal. When we arrived, they showed us a car that had over 160 miles on it. They told us it had been used as a demo vehicle. And yet, it was priced (and presented) as if it was brand new! They were also low on the allowance for our trade-in, but at that point it didn't much matter. No way we'll ever go back to this dealer.

In rare cases, information can by incorrect, and in your case, the vehicle description that was sent to you had incorrect mileage. The reason this new vehicle had 161 miles is because it is our demonstration vehicle for that model line. We have one vehicle demonstrator for each model line to accommodate customers who would like to test drive our new models. I felt I was pressed to buy the car. Once I leased it was asked to do a review, well the person told me I have to give them all excellent or they would get in trouble and they watched every thing I checked. I owed a Saab for 20 years and decided to go with Volvo............much better service/kindness at Saab! I later had a bad accident and was told it would take two week for the repair shop and it took more like 7 weeks and Volvo would not let me borrow are care for the two days my insurance could not cover me. I left in tears.............. Then this month I had two flat tires within a few days. I would think something was WRONG with the tire but I was assured it was my fault and they charge me for courtesy car the first time the second time I did not even ask for the 'courtesy" car and they charged me for the second tire!

Dear Fleece, I’m sorry to hear about the recent accidents and issues you’ve encountered with your Volvo. We do our best to make our sales process simple and pressure free. Your original sales contract was made on 3/17/14. Based on this agreement, we purchased your vehicle from a New Jersey dealer and sent drivers to pick it up. If you had voiced your concern about feeling pressure anytime between the week you made the agreement and picked up the vehicle we absolutely could have changed or cancelled the deal. The survey we present at the time of delivery is very important for us to gauge how we have performed during the sales process. Your sales person should have explained the survey and how it works but then left you alone to fill it out. We never want customers to feel pressured into giving us any particular score. We would rather know that we earned the score. I hope the comment you wrote on the survey, “Bobby was great to work with! He was very fair and I appreciate that!” reflects how you truly felt at that time. Customer satisfaction is a top priority for us and we will use your feedback about the survey as a training example. It sounds like the repair process was extensive and took more time than expected after your bad accident. Since we are not a body shop and we did not have your vehicle in for service our courtesy vehicle policy would prohibit us from lending you a vehicle. We have a great relationship with the local Enterprise office that rents vehicles for about $30 a day. We would be happy to arrange that for you in the future. The complimentary 1 year tire and wheel hazard policy we included with your vehicle purchase did replace your first flat tire. Unfortunately the second time you experienced a flat tire was due to an impact with a curb, which is excluded from the tire and wheel hazard policy.
