I bought a new Toyota Camry two months ago. When I picked up the car, I noticed that there was a chip underneath the side door. The sales manager Tom Ryan said I could either come back another day to have it repaired or he would mail me a check of $150 the next day. I chose to take the check. Now 2 months later, I still haven't received anything. I tried to contact him at least 10 times, but he's always with customers and can't talk to me, and he never called me back as he promised. This is not the customer service I expected at all! I was his customer before, but not anymore! I filed a complaint with Toyota customer service, The representative called Tom right away and told me "Boy, this guy is rude!" and reassured me "Tom certainly doesn't represent Toyota!" I finally talked to the general manger Mr. Anderson and he handled this in a much more professional way,

One star because Dawn was the only positive at this dealership!!! Tom Ryan is downright rude! Iham was unprofessional. After 3 attempts and 18 days to refund my deposit I realized that they were processing OFFLINE and nothing was going through. Of course, Mr. Ryan could only over talk me when I questioned and hang up the phone. I will buy a car but never from this dealership! If you are sucked in to their tricky "sales process" beware of giving your credit card and the process moves forward because you may never see that money again or will be forced to spend hours on the phone begging for a refund as they tell you they have processed it time and again! They sale tactics were horrendous. Iham pressuring that he would "call in a favor" to lower my interest rate (10 pints!) but not unless I commit at that moment. Looking at my credit report and say "Girlfriend, you have been shopping alot!" What? How unprofessional and rude! I have never had such a BAD experience! AND I am still out $200 because they cannot seem to navigate processing a credit to my credit card!!!!! I am contacting the better business bureau and will tell everyone NOT TO GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP... instead consider Middletown, New London or Wallingford as I will be doing!!!!!!

I’m sorry for the way you were made to feel. Please understand that every transaction is unique and requires different attention. It is our goal to complete each transaction in a timely manner with absolute customer satisfaction. Perhaps we lost sight of how the time delay in securing a favorable bank approval on your transaction would impact your satisfaction. We will learn from this experience by paying closer attention to time from our customers’ perspective. In regards to the deposit refund delay, the time stamps show we took a deposit on December 8, 2014. The refund was processed electronically on December 19th. There were eleven days between the initial deposit and the refund. Keep in mind that over the first several days we were attempting to secure financing. I realize that when there are delays of any kind the time frame may seem longer than it actually is. Again, we will learn from this in the future. My understanding is that the funds have been credited to your account. I hope in time you may give us another opportunity to serve your automobile needs.

Let me start by saying, purchasing an extended warranty from this dealer was nothing but a major rip-off! First off, you are obligated to use their service department only, and second, they will make sure that they don't fix what should be covered under the warranty. Now to explain. My car was blowing warm air out the drivers side vents and cool air out the passenger side vents while using my AC. The service manager insisted this was a "classic symptom of low freon". It will cost $200 to add freon. My husband and I declined service and took the car the same day to a local mechanic. Not only was my car not low on freon, due to it being vacuumed out and measured and refilled for 1/3 of the charge, my mechanic states it was a classic symptom of a stuck door on a dual zone unit (which mind you would be covered under my warranty). I took this information back to Westbrook Toyota along with a request to cancel my extended warranty policy. I explained how dissatisfied I was with the service, and my lack of trust with this service dept. i was them told they would agree to fix the problem if I kept my extended warranty policy. I declined. I feel that a company who prides themselves on excellent customer service, should admit their wrong and fix the problem. I was assured by the associate that before the policy was to be cancelled that day, he would have the General Manager call because he was very upset that I was not a happy customer. Guess what? Never got a call. With that being said, I will never step foot in this establishment ever again, nor would I recommend this dealership to anyone!!!!

I’m very sorry our level of service did not meet your expectation. It certainly sounds as though there was some miscommunication. I can appreciate your local mechanic’s diagnosis of your air conditioning issue. In fact, your mechanic may have provided the correct diagnosis. Unfortunately, there is a very specific protocol required when performing a warranty repair. As the processor of the warranty claim we must follow certain guidelines. Those guidelines dictate that we eliminate simpler issues prior to getting to more complicated issues. In this case we would have evacuated the Freon and recharged the system to make sure it was operating as designed. If the system continued to blow warm air on the one side we would have moved on to further diagnosis. You should not have been quoted $200 for this first step as it was a required step for us in order to complete the warranty repair. Again, I apologize for the miscommunication.

That dreaded time came in my life when it was time to replace my 2001 Dodge 2500 pickup truck-it has served me well but it was time to move on. Actually I dreaded the thought of going to look for a new/used truck. I had not in the past always had a great experience in buying new or used vehicles. Well this one time was the great exception, truly had an exceptional experience dealing with the folks at Westbrook Toyota, Westbrook Connecticut. I had got pre-approved for my loan and every day for the last several weeks kept checking in the local newspapers (live in southern New Hampshire) as well as on the Internet. My Internet searches at first was restricted to 50 miles radius. Then on a Friday morning I expanded the radius and came across 2014 Toyota Tundra with a snowplow. As I look at my list of things that I wanted for the truck I was surprised to find almost all of them with there, truly I thought this was to good to be true. I called Westbrook Toyota and ended up speaking to Steve Ouellet, Internet Manager. He answered the many questions that I had and worked with me for the next couple hours. From my conversation with Steve and the emails back forth between him, my credit union and me, I was able to get all of the paperwork signed and ready for the transaction Saturday morning. It was about a three-hour drive to the Toyota dealership and when we drove in I was met by Dawn Bradley, Sales Consultant who had a wonderful smile and stated she was expecting us and made both of us very relaxed and comfortable. She showed us the Toyota Tundra answered all my questions, prior to leaving she went over every aspect of the truck, she left no small detail not cover. I was very impressed with her demeanor, felt like I had known her for a long time. I also met the business manager (you know the guy you have to sign all the paperwork with and make sure all the finances are correct) Aiham Alkhatib. This is usually the area I dislikes the most. You have finalized the price of the vehicle and here is where you normally get pressured into adding all kinds of extra thing. To my surprise, no pressure, very down to earth and a pleasure to talk to. He certainly made me aware of all the options but not that high-pressure salesmanship I was dreading. As I stated earlier it was a pleasure to talk to him, in fact my wife came to the door wanting to know if we were done yet. At the very end just before leaving I met Tom Ryan Gen. Sales Manager, again I was met with exceptional customer service we had some small talk about our lives, I learned that he was in the United States Marines Corps. It was a real pleasure talking to him. My experience with the personnel from Westbrook Toyota was nothing BUT exceptional in every aspect. If you want a more positive experience in purchasing a new or used vehicle I highly recommend Westbrook Toyota, in Westbrook Connecticut.
