I had a pleasant experience with Joe when I purchased the 2014 CX-9 GT AWD. He was very professional, friendly and patient. I got a quote from an internet source and Joe accepted with no question asked but stated frankly that another extra $2K warranty has to come with that offer. The whole process took probably less than an hour and this was the quickest and least painful car buying experience for me.

Our family unexpectedly found ourselves in the need of replacing a car. Not sure what to expect we ended up with with Joe from Action Mazda where we left with not just 1, but 2 cars. They were not pushy, or aggressive even though we were purchasing on Black Friday, they not only made a good sale but they really helped us out.

I had the worst experience buying a car here. Long story short, I had an NJEA discount for the car but they wanted to charge me an extra $2000 for some insurance package. I wanted to pay cash for the car, but they would only take that extra money off if I took out a loan instead. Seems odd that they would charge me $2000 more for paying cash than if I took out a loan... Next, I was supposed to get a $500 student discount. Instead of taking off the $500, they charged an extra $500 on my credit card and told me I'd get it back in 6-8 weeks. Meanwhile, I contacted Dan (the salesperson I worked with) a few times a week, and nothing had happened. I ended up filing a dispute with my credit card, and contacted Mazda USA. This issue wasn't resolved until 3 1/2 months later. Fast forward 6 months, when it's time to bring my car in for the 5,000 mile service which was an oil change and tire rotation. I also wanted to get a remote starter installed since I wanted it when I bought the car but refused to have to take out a loan for that fee also. When I got to the dealer, one of the people working in the service department asked me where my second key was. I told him that NO ONE had mentioned bringing both keys when I called to make an appointment. I was told that it would still work with just one key, so I had it done anyway. As my service was finished, I was being shown how to use my remote starter when the guy working in the service department told me that it won't work unless I bring back the second key. I live half an hour away, so at this point I was fuming that I paid money for a remote starter that doesn't work. As I am already angry at Mazda's service and was almost home, my tire pressure light went on. I pulled over in the closest parking lot and called up Mazda. They told me that they forgot to reset the system in my car and that I would need to come back. What car dealer would forget to make sure that they complete the job 100%? Now I had to waste another hour driving back to Mazda so they could fix what they screwed up. I spoke to the manager who was pretty useless and all he could do was take off the $25 tire rotation fee. I requested a discount on the remote starter since it was their fault it didn't work when I left the dealer the first time, but they told me that they couldn't do anything about that. I have already contacted Mazda USA about my service experience as well. I will never be back to this Mazda dealer. When car shopping, I looked at both the Hamilton Mazda and Action Mazda, and I regret my decision of buying my car from Action Mazda. I was hopeful and thought that maybe the service at Action Mazda would make up for the horrible experience of buying the car, but my service experience was just as horrible. I will now be taking my car to Hamilton Mazda for service, and will be telling everyone I know about how horrible my experience at Action Mazda was.
