My biggest surprise was that Consumer Reports support TrueCar which is a simply a lead-generating tool for the car dealerships. After a few back and forth phone calls and emails clarifying exactly what I wanted and price, this dealer was unwilling to confirm anything in writing. And the designated phone guy told me that once I arrived I would have to "get in line" to meet with the finance guy even though I'm paying cash. I've purchased many vehicles and I haven't been in a dealership longer than 30 minutes once the deal was negotiated on the phone. These guys are the stereotypical car dealer -- get the customers in, keep them there, wear them down, and get as much money as possible out of them. The only good thing out of this exercise was that I didn't waste time in the dealership.

They had a good ad for a true car price. But would not honor the price. They have an extra hidden fee of $2,000 for extra service during the warranty period. I've seen hidden fees before for $200 or $300, but this is absurd. Then they couldn't get me the mazda advertised APR of 0.9%. I've got a 840 credit rating and Other Mazda dealers had no problem getting me this APR. Abe is a nice guy who deserves better, but he works for the worst dealership I've ever seen.

I had a pleasant experience with Joe when I purchased the 2014 CX-9 GT AWD. He was very professional, friendly and patient. I got a quote from an internet source and Joe accepted with no question asked but stated frankly that another extra $2K warranty has to come with that offer. The whole process took probably less than an hour and this was the quickest and least painful car buying experience for me.

Our family unexpectedly found ourselves in the need of replacing a car. Not sure what to expect we ended up with with Joe from Action Mazda where we left with not just 1, but 2 cars. They were not pushy, or aggressive even though we were purchasing on Black Friday, they not only made a good sale but they really helped us out.
