Good Morning! First I would like to say what an Exceptional Experience my husband and myself had at Star. I was involved in a serious accident back in 2010, I was broad sided by a tractor trailer in a 2008 G5 and suffered multiple injuries, not only physical but emotional and of course a financial burden. I had lost my home, car and a way to support myself. Needless to say the bills started to pile up. I went from a 820 credit score to the fear of even looking at what it had become. Thank god at the time we did have 2 vehicles. The Van was a 2002 it started having problems with the engine apparently it dropped 4 inches we had it fixed then the trans went. We didn't have the money to have it fixed so we sold it. We had enough to purchase another used van this time a 2001. I can't begin to tell you the money that we had to put into this vehicle, 2 timing belts, water pump, brand new tires and just had it inspected when the engine seized up on us. We didn't even have it a year. All along we had been getting these letters from Capitol One that I was pre approved for a car loan. I kept throwing them in the garbage I was never going to get a loan for a car especially not with my credit score of 515. But one day we had nothing to do so I took one of those pre approved letters to Brown Daub. The salesman that we had was nice and told us that he is going to make this happen for us because that is what they are known for. We knew that we couldn't afford a BRAND NEW car but needed something that was going to be reliable. so off we went to the lot and picked out a 2013 Chrysler 200. We took it our for a test drive and fell in love with the car, at least I did. The way that this dealer worked was to take Kevin and I out to the lot and told us to pick out three cars that we liked the best and they would choose which one we would get. I have had several cars in my lifetime but never a sales pitch that included they pick what car we get. Kevin and I spent 6 1/2 hours waiting for them to get an approval for us. The salesman came back and asked if we could come up with about $1500. We new that we couldn't. We left that dealer ship with the same car we drove in there with. The frustration I felt after leaving that dealership well, we will just leave it at that. Through a family member we were able to get another van this time a 2000 Ford Windstar. We had this vehicle for about a month when we were told that the power steering pump was going and also there started a pinning noise coming from the van. I received in the mail a letter from Capitol One Auto Finance that stated that a request for a car loan was recently sent to them. The offer that the dealership put through was not feasible but Cap one made another offer. We were never informed about what Cap one offered. A few days later I received another pre approval letter from Cap One and this time it was for STAR BUICK-GMC in Easton, PA I contacted them and explained what had happened at the last Dealership and certainly didn't want to waste a Salesperson's time nor did I feel like spending another 6 to 7 hours there only to find out what we COULD NOT GET. We made an appointment for April 25, 2015 with a salesmen by the name David Patino for around 11:00 a.m. When we arrived at the Dealership we were approached outside and asked if they could help us or are we meeting with someone we told them we had an appointment. I never in my wildest dreams would have ever guest that what Kevin and I were about to experience with Dave Patino would finally give me hope that what I had experienced over the last five years was about to turn around. Dave and my Husband hit it off in what I think was less than a minute. Dave took some needed information from us and asked us what we were looking for and a price range that we would be comfortable with. We went out to the lot and took look at some of the vehicles and had our eye's on a couple different cars. We went back into the showroom and Dave starting working with Mark in Finance Department to get us into this car. It didn't quite work with Cap One. We went for our second choice and started the process again. We didn't mind we were having a ball with Dave. Kevin and Dave talked about people they both knew, sports and many other things. My god they talked more than women do at a Country Club luncheon.(haha) I don't think that we have ever met a salesperson that has ever treated us the way that Dave did, He was understanding, kind, funny, offered us beverages, cookies. Dave just sat and talked to us while the Finance Department did there job. He never left us unless it was to check on the progress to let us know what was going on. Due to it being a Saturday the Banks are not as quick to get back to you. So Mark in Finance came over to let us know that things were looking good but we may have to wait till Monday for and answer. Mark told us he would give me a call by noon on Monday. We didn't even leave at that point we still hung around talking to Dave for a while. Monday April 27, 2015 at around 11:00 a.m. the phone rang a few more things were needed and I would get a call back. Soon after that the phone rang again and it was to let us know that the deal was done. I held the crying bit till I hung up. I finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel and his name was DAVE. Not to leave Mark out of any of this You tied the bow on the bank loan. We drove off Star lot with a beautiful Dodge Avenger. Dave I think that we have made a terrific friend since meeting you. We will be planning a BBQ in the summer Kevin and I would be more than happy to have you join us. I felt like I have written the first chapter in a book, It is certainly not the end of my book as I told you that Kevin needs to get the heck out of MY car and get himself a truck. We know where your desk is so when the time comes Dave, we will be in the chairs in the front of your desk. Dave, one more thing, THANK YOU AGAIN FOR SHOWING ME THAT THERE IS A LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL. To the rest of the Star Buick-GMC of Easton, PA. We look forward to making friends with all of you. DAVID PATINO, you are an outstanding Salesman and now a great friend. STAR BUICK-GMC - you are very lucky to have such a great man as a part of your sales team. You need to keep your grip on him and while your at it give a nice bonus he certainly deserves it. Just from getting a pre approval letter in the mail Kevin and I found a great car salesman better yet a new friend. How many people can say that after buying a car, They are usually in and out and unless they have a problem with their vehicle you never see them or talk to them again. Dave has called us several times following the purchase of the car just to make sure that we are happy with our purchase. Dave, you are a terrific guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mark took the time to get us the best financing possible. I would not be driving my 2012 Equinox if it wasn't for Mark. At one point we had all the paper done, signed sealed and completed. He then got a better % rate from another bank and he came back and told us this, he gave us a chance to start over with the new % rate which saved us money. It took more time but was well worth the savings. Other dealers probably wouldn't say anything because they didn't want to start over again with the paper work process. Not Mark, he does what he can for his costumers and he takes the time to explain EVERYTHING before moving on to the next stage. This guy is Mr. Money and does what he can for his costumers and is honest and trust worthy. He truly cares about you and he will do right by you as he did with my purchases. Thanks JR. I will and I HAVE recommended Star and there team to my family and friends.

I have had the unfortunate experience of getting taken advantage of before at a few dealerships, this was not the case here! Everyone was very straight forward with my wife and I regarding the process. We werent shown anything we didnt want, need or were unable to afford. Dave Patino was amazing with his knowledge of our GMC Acadia and the process to obtain it. I have less then perfect credit and still his team was able to get us a great rate compared to what we had. I have never bought a vehicle and said to myself this seems to easy untill the day I met Dave. I would recommend STAR because car buying shouldnt be a head ache and you should never have to second guess yourself as to whether you made the right choice or could have done better at another dealer. In short if you want an easy smooth car buying experience see Dave if you want to get ripped off and get a crummy vehicle go somewhere else. Frank

We were looking for a used car for our son. We saw 2 online and test drove both. We then saw the 2008 GMC Acadia that was in great condition, test drove that and decided to buy it. Dave was great to work with. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Dave went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. He made the process easy and painless. I would definitely recommend Dave to anyone interested in buying a car from Star.
