Don’t Buy From This Dealer – Bait & Switch I came to an agreement with their Internet Salesman for the total, out-the-door cost. They didn’t have the car in stock but it was coming in the next week. The salesman made an appointment with me when the car came in so I went to the dealership to buy the car. They said my salesman wasn’t there and handed me off to another salesman who knew nothing about my deal. I brought a copy of the email with the final price on it. But it didn’t matter. It didn’t even matter when they found the email on my initial salesman’s computer. They wouldn’t honor the deal and wanted to add over $2,000 in high margin dealer added equipment that I didn’t want. They played the stupid game of the salesman going back and forth between me and the Sales Manager who finally joined us. After over an hour, they would not budge and wanted me to pay for all then some of the additional equipment – this is a classic case of Bait & Switch. During this process I caught them in 6 lies. I have learned that they have been turned over to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for deceptive and illegal sales practices. The excuse the General Manager gave me was that his experienced Sales Manager (that sells 400 cars a month) had a bad day and forgot the dealerships procedure is to sell the car at the original offered price if all the pressure doesn’t work to get them to buy the High Margin Dealer Added Equipment. It looks like the Sales Manager forgets a lot because I found 10 other Bait & Switch complaints on the internet. It would appear that this is just the excuse they trot out when someone like me calls their bluff. They did offer to sell me the car at the original price – but wouldn’t put it in writing. I didn’t buy the car because I was worried they would tamper with the car. Given that they lied to me 6 times and ran a Bait & Switch scheme - to me this doesn’t seem like a stretch to think they would do that.

I am sorry you feel that way! You neglected to purchase the first vehicle offered, and the second one did have extra equipment installed on it. We often add popular options to in-stock vehicles and the one you viewed, with window tint, is the most popular. Most customers appreciate the convenience of having the option pre-installed but obviously you were looking for a lower price, which we also offered you. I brought in a 2004 Accord which had just been recalled for air bags. When I got there they only had a passenger side available so I had to go back a few weeks later. I had just gotten 4 new wheels and tires put on the car and even with 150 K miles it rode like a brand new car. When I finally got the drivers air bag installed after leaving Crown I noticed it did not ride well. I went back to the tire place and had the tires rotated and balanced. This did not fix the front end shimmy. I called Crown over a 2 day period leaving the service manager messages. I never received a call back. On my 4 call a service member picked up the phone(they have called ID) and said nothing that they did could have caused this problem. I will pay someone else to fix whatever they did and never go back. I also brought in my wife's 2008 accord for a $ 400 rear brake job. They charged her but never cut the rotors down. When I brought it back they said the rotors must have rusted overnight. I told them they were rough and rusty like sand paper and had never been cut down. Then the service person said that maybe the technician decided they didn't need to be cut. I asked why they still charged me to cut them? they finally did the work that I paid for but argued all of the way. I don't know how this place is still a Honda dealer. BEWARE!! DO NOT GET SERVICE OR BUY A NEW CAR HERE!! YOU WILL BE SORRY!!!
