I called the dealership and requested a turn key price on a Jeep Patriot and furnished my needs to them. This was on a Thursday. Chase was my initial contact and was very responsive. Over two or three phone calls to make sure exactly what I wanted they located the vehicle I wanted within an hour or two. I talked with Chase as well as briefly with Ryan. Chase gave me a turn key price that was very competitive and I made a counter offer that they immediately accepted. I signed a buyers order, e-mailed it back and we agreed on price on that Thursday and Ryan arranged for the vehicle to be on site the next day, cleaned and ready for pickup. I was pleasantly surprised at how seamless this car buying experience was. No hassles and games. Chase and Ryan were great to deal with. several years ago I had tried to deal with Crown but it was not good. I think now they are my go to people. Just a great job. Thanks gentlemen, Dale Allen.

My experience purchasing a new vehicle with Crown CJD was a positive one. I found a 2015 Jeep Liberty Sport ‘Altitude’ 4x4 advertised online, and corresponded electronically with salesperson Benjamin Windsor. He dealt with his sales managers, offers were exchanged over a period of a couple of days, and we finally arrived on what I considered a very reasonable price: $25,170 MSRP plus dealer-installed Door Edge Guards and Nitrogen in the tires for $199.98, and I received an out-the-door price of $21,442 including tax, title, tags, fees, etc. (This was with all rebates and incentives) I had worked for approx. 2 weeks in a similar manner with a number of other Jeep dealerships in Christiansburg, VA; Wytheville, VA; Tazewell, VA; Johnson City, TN; Winston-Salem, NC; Kernersville, NC; Mt. Airy, NC; Salisbury, NC; and a few others. Nobody was as competitive with pricing as was Crown CJD in Greensboro, NC, which is why I was willing to drive 2 hours to their location. A few of these other dealerships seemed to make reasonable attempts to earn my business, North Point CJD in Winston-Salem in particular, while several apparently either could not or would not even answer direct emailed questions….just a bunch of blanket emails and requests to call them. Below I outline the Good, the Bad, and the Other. The good: All-online dealing to come to the final price; no changes or bait-and-switch at the dealership; completely good dealings with Roderick, the salesperson who completed the deal for us since Benjamin was off from work; and very nice, personal interaction with the two sales managers with whom we dealt (both new). Roderick went the extra mile in explaining all the features of the vehicle, both before and after our purchase, as well as having it detailed and filled with gas before ‘presenting’ it to us on the showroom floor. He even toured us around the dealership and introduced us to the Service and Parts department personnel. I would certainly recommend Roderick to anyone wishing to purchase a vehicle from Crown CJD. The bad: The amount of time involved, even after having all but ‘completed’ the deal, online: we were still there for WAY TOO LONG, about 4 hours!! This dealership installs the Door Edge Guards and Nitrogen in the tires on all their vehicles, and charges customers $99.99 for each. If you don’t want or need these things, you’re still going to get them….and pay for them. Benjamin misquoted these two dealer-installed options to me at $298.98, and I dealt based upon this number which was basically $100 off. Not a huge deal, but…. The other: It seems that this location has replaced/moved nearly all their managers. The Sales Manager from whom we got the online price/deal, Rick, was gone. Eddie is the new GM, and the other very pleasant guy whose name I am embarrassed to have forgotten, but who remarked that he had 18 years’ experience with Nissan, is the new Sales Manager. They were both really kind and attentive, but just passing along the info that it seems a lot of the upper management at the Dodge location is new, as I also heard that the Service and Parts managers had also been moved/replaced. Not sure what this might mean for future Buyers, but it was very strange to learn that on the very day that I went to purchase my vehicle, the dealership was welcoming so many new people into management…… Why? I didn’t ask and do not know. I am a very experienced car buyer, and did a great deal of research and comparison-pricing, in addition to working with a fairly large number of other Jeep dealerships. I do not do compulsive or ‘spur of the moment’ purchases, as this disadvantages the Buyer. In the end, though, I think that I could have dealt solely with Crown CJD and still received a good deal. I am pleased with my deal, was impressed with the sales staff, would recommend Crown CJD to others, and would buy from them again.

We were just looking around at different dealerships on a trip to North Carolina and happened upon the Challenger of our dreams at Crown. It was a very busy Friday and we had to spend a lot of time at the dealership because the bank computers were being slow. During our time there, every employee was extremely friendly and helpful. We got a full tour of the dealership and were introduced to most of the employees. Everett, our salesman, was the best and made us feel like family. Chami had to wade through the mountains of paperwork required for Pennsylvania. Toni gave us lots of information on the area. When everything was signed, Everett pulled our car into the showroom and walked us through all of the features, which was a big help! All in all, we had lots of fun buying a car and Crown feels like family. They have won my loyalty, and I will make the drive from Pennsylvania again to purchase future vehicles. A++++

I was appalled to find out the detailing department had applied the Clearcoat to a dirty vehicle. I thought the dealership would have washed my beautiful BLACK Chrysler 300 before rubbing or applying anything to the paint job. The customer service rep and the detailing person had no clue as to what or how to protect the paint job on a new vehicle. Now I have to wash my vehicle before I take my car to have the Clearcoat applied. I hope Crown Chrysler Dodge Jeep does a better job of applications of anything to customers vehicle. I wish Diesel Dan was still there for better service both sales and service department.
