Please DO NOT be fooled by their claim of $110.00 an hour for service. Our service recently was $342.50 an hour. My daughter was told her fluids were contaminated, that she needed nitrogen filled tires, that she needed a 105,000 mile check-up. She was there 3 hours and 4 minutes and the labor bill was 685.42. Both the service manager and the general manager contend that they charge 110.00 and hour but they use the chilton scale to compute hours charged vs the clock. Consequently, an oil change resulted in a $947.68 service charge. The most outrageous oil change ever. Keep in mind the oil change and the tire rotation were free.

On August 31, 2014 my wife and I had agreed to purchase a Volvo V50 subject to an acceptable second test drive. During the test drive the air conditioning did not operate well. When pressured to go ahead and fill out the paperwork with the assurance that refrigerant would be added or repairs would be made we said we'd wait until the repairs are made. Then Frankie (GM) abruptly told us that the car was sold and left us to walk away wondering what really happened. In my 60 years we have never been treated so rudely by management or anyone in the car business. We won't return to any of the Crown Automotive dealerships in Greensboro, NC. We're not one to complain but this case was so annoying we felt compelled to write a negative review and let it be known. Buyer beware.

Received price quote online for the vehicle I wasn't interested in and drove 2 hours later that day. Things were fine until I was shown a price which was $1000 more than the one I had been given (& I had a print out with me); hundreds of dollars in extras were added despite never being ASKED if I was interested & even though I flatly stated that I wasn't interested in any overpriced Scotchguard nor would I pay for it. Finally there was a fee of almost $600 included. When I asked what that was I was told that it was listed on the website. I looked at my printout and confirmed what I remembered - the fee was applicable for "approved financing only". I had secured my own financing and had let them know that. I had not applied for financing nor was I planning to. When pressed I was told that "all dealers have that" which is not true. The vehicle was listed online but had not been inspected, serviced, or detailed. While I understand why dealerships feel the need to add vehicles to their online inventory as soon as possible it might be useful to indicate that it is a new arrival and not ready to go 'home' yet. I started feeling pressure to make a decision. I was told that they needed to know so folks in the shop could start working on it. There was little more than two hours before closing & the more pressure was applied the more I was convinced not to buy the vehicle. Knowing the sale was "in the bag" I had very little confidence that all due care would be taken with the inspection, replacement of needed parts, etc. I walked.
