Bought a 2006 Cadillac CTS from Jack Maxton for my son on November 21, 2014. 82 days and 3,186 miles later, the vehicle breaks down and needs a new engine. I understand I purchased the vehicle as is, I guess I was expecting more than 82 days and 3,186 miles out the $8000 I gave to Jack Maxton. Buyer beware. I was told by the manager that he sold the original owner the vehicle, that they had done all of the service on it over the years, and that it was in great shape. Apparently "great shape" means "needs new engine". I guess I am the fool for believing what the manager was saying and also the fool for believing the vehicle had been "thoroughly inspected" and was in "great shape". I don't expect Jack Maxton to do anything about this, after all, I did sign the "as is" document. In fact, they have already sent me an email stating that they aren't going to do anything to help me. Just wanted everyone to know about my experience so hopefully it doesn't happen to you. Thank you Jack Maxton for taking my $8000 and giving me a vehicle that lasted 82 days.

Joe, At Jack Maxton Chevrolet we have process in place to inspect a vehicle, thoroughly, before selling it. With that being said, when selling a vehicle with high miles and ‘as-is’ the customer has an option to purchase an extended warranty to cover any unforeseen service issues that vehicle may have in the future. Yesterday was a great day! I had the pleasure of working with Chris Yates to put myself into a new vehicle. What a pleasant experience!! Chris was wonderful to work with....very professional, courteous, helpful and worked with me to get what I consider to be a really great deal. I did not ever at any point feel pressured either by him or Scott Collins as we finalized the details. I will highly recommend the Jack Maxton dealership to others in the future. Everyone I came in contact with yesterday was friendly and professional in every way.
