I went to Andy Mohr Mitsubishi looking to purchase a 2016 Outlander. I told the salesman I had three requirements: 1) I wanted the SEL S-AWS package 2) I wanted the advanced safety package 3) I wanted Sirius XM. The salesman found three vehicles that met the first two requirements. He told us that the third requirement (Sirius XM), was standard on all SEL trims. We looked at the choices and purchased an Outlander. After we had taken delivery of the Outlander, I was on the Mitsubishi website showing a co-worker what we had purchased. We were looking at the available options and to my surprise, I discovered that Sirius XM is not standard equipment. It had to purchased as part of the premium package. I called the salesman and asked if my Outlander had Sirius XM. He said yes. I told him what I was seeing on the website. He asked if he could call me back. When he called back he told me that my Outlander did not come with Sirius XM. He explained to me that the GT model comes with Sirius XM standard and he thought the SEL model did also. I explained to him that had I known the Outlander did not have Sirius XM, I never would have purchased it. I asked him what he was going to do to correct the problem. He said he needed to talk to Bill and would call me back. When he called back, he told me that Bill said that it was a done deal and there was nothing that could done. I told him that was unacceptable and that I was thinking about returning the car. He told that Bill had said that was not possible. I told him I was calling Mitsubishi customer service to lodge a complaint. I called Mitsubshi customer service and lodged a complaint. Unfortunately, the Sirius XM ready radio is only a factory installed option. You cannot swap out the radios. I was told that I would have to work out a solution with the dealership. I called the salesman back and was told that the only option was to have an external Sirius XM receiver installed. Bill had informed the salesman that since he had made the mistake, he would have to foot the bill for the receiver. In other words, Bill threw the salesman under the bus. To put an end to this story. I had the external receiver installed. I'm assuming that the salesman or the dealership paid BestBuy for the receiver and the installation. It works but I not like it. It is clumsy to use and I do not like it installed on the side post of the windshield.

I was literally swindled by Todd Hinkle and Bob the finance guy. Bob wasn't friendly either but I didn't care. It was when I came out $2000 higher in the original payment that I grew furious. Switch and bait pros. They "accidentally" messed up my name so I was focused on that (it was on each paper, sometimes multiple times) when they had to reprint everything. When they reprinterd, they didn't mention that the price tag had increased, by almost $1900. Clearly a lot of these reviews are fake. This was a horrible experience, worse than any I have yet to deal with so far. Do not use, ever, if you don't like being swindled.
