Bought a 2006 trailblazer 2 weeks ago. Salesman Chris told me I was "REQUIRED" to purchase a $1600 extended warranty before the bank would finance me.(my credit is NOT bad) Called my husband at work and he spoke to Chris. Chris told him that yes I was required to purchase the warranty in order to be financed. Signed papers and drove vehicle home. I got to thinking about it and decided that I was not going to pay for this warranty, and that if they wanted to insist on it they could have the truck back. Called Chris and asked for a refund on the warranty....he lied and told me that it would be prorated and I'd probably only get 5 or 6 hundred dollars of my money back. "Not worth wasting my time" Chris said. Little did Chris know....my husband was sitting right beside me reading the details of the extended warranty. Which offers a FULL 100% refund if dropped within 30 days!!! There is lie #2 from Chris. The following morning my husband called the bank that had financed me. Asking if they had indeed REQUIRED an extended warranty to do my loan. They did some checking and said that they absolutely HAD NOT asked for anything along those lines at all! Nor would they ever ask for anything like that in order to finance someone. Soooo, there it is. Chris lied through his teeth in order to soak me for $1600. My husband called the Ft Wayne branch and lodged a complaint. About three hours later good ole Chris called me saying that they had re-written the loan, refunding my $1600. But ONLY after my husband blew up at them! And let them know he had called Community Wide and gotten the truth!! We went to sign the new papers and Chris wasn't even man enough to be there when we showed up! "he was out "running errands" according to his co-workers. Too funny!

I'm a single mother of two young kids. I don't know anything about cars. I went to Bart's to buy a Jeep for the winter snow. During the test drive I noticed a weird grinding noise coming from under the hood. I asked the salesman about it and he said it was just the ice on the ground hitting against the side of the car. The salesman assured me it wasn't anything serious. I bought the Jeep. Less than a week later the car died and we got stuck at the side of the road. I took it to the Jeep dealership and they told me the car had serious transmission and suspension issues. They said it wasn't safe to drive the car out of the garage. They said it was like the whole car was held together with duck tape. I had to spend over $3,000 to fix everything. Bart's wouldn't do anything about it and they said - and I quote - "it's your problem now". Bart's sales staff were nice before I bought the car but their attitude quickly changed after the sale. I WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER CAR FROM BART'S CAR STORE!!!

BUYERS BEWARE!! Learn from our mistake, bought a truck from them 1st week had to replace power steering pump, 2 wks later heater core 1wasn't covered by warranty 1 was but the deductible was higher than the part. Less than 1 mo. In won't run, find out it has major wiring issues, previous owner 're wired & cut wires all thro the dash & under the hood, computer was fried due to wires grounding out trucks been in the shop for almost 3 wks. It will cost us over 5,000$ once its all said & done. Got the run around from Barts this whole time, 1st we were told to have it towed & since we've had so many issues so soon, Barts would take care of it. They never followed through. Then they told us they would have it towed to them to inspect it themselves, never followed through instead we were told they had decided it was our problem. In the state of Indiana used vehicles are sold "as is" which makes battling it in court pretty much pointless. Know what you are buying & buy from a dealer who cares about their customers, buy from someone honest!!

I bought a truck there the price of the truck was high but they gave me a good trade in price to make up the difference experience was good till I signed the line and bought it. After I bought the truck I had some things that needed fixed that I knew about when I bought it and we had agreed to have them fix them and they did, but before I dropped it off I had a few questions and I played phone tag and when I would leave messages for Matt he was supposed to call me back and never did, and the same happened with another employee over a title. I was told when I bought the truck they were going to have the truck dropped off to me and they could drop it off at my work or home or wherever I wanted them too. I had to call and and find out what was going on when and where they were dropping it off on the day I was told they were going to drop it off and Matt told them to drop it off at my house without ever asking me so I had to leave work early to get the keys. Also the Lady I called and asked when they were dropping it off said she would call me when they left with it so I would have an hour and a half notice and she did not do that they called me 15 minutes away. Also when I received my truck back the guy that drove it back smoked in it so I had to clean ash out of it. The biggest deal is they took 3 weeks to send me my title and I was supposed to receive a check to pay the difference of tax between ohio and indiana which I need to do to transfer the title and get my plates and they never sent me a check with the title and claimed they did, and that argument went on for 2 days of phone tag and switching me to different people and people not calling me back, then said they were sending it out once they found it in their building I was supposed to get it in 2 days and they forgot to send it out, but this is the one good thing they did was that lady apologized and sent it next day the only time someone apologized for their mistake. Once I received the check I only had 4 business days to transfer the title and switch my plates. I WAS TOLD BY MATT WHEN I BOUGHT THE TRUCK THAT THEY WERE MAKING NO MONEY ON THE TRUCK BUT THE REASONS THEY DO THESE DEALS IS TO HAVE RETURN CUSTOMERS. WHEN YOU HAVE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU WILL NOT HAVE ME RETURNING AS A CUSTOMER. OVERALL VERY BAD BUSINESS THIS WAS IN COLUMBIA CITY
