I would consider us a little above low income. We have 5 children in the home and one working parent with not so great credit and a parent with no credit. The day we came into Lafontaine Volkswagon, we not only got approved but for a payment we can afford with the ability to refinance in a year. We drove off with a 2013 brand new condition Dodge Caravan that day! We thought we would be stuck getting a used vehicle over 6 years old with at least 100,000 miles from a run down used car lot. We used the money we had for a used crappy car as a down payment and could not be any more happy that we have this new vehicle and we will also be able to rebuild our credit at the same time. We could not be more great full for Denise but are so happy we were able to receive such great service and an amazing vehicle to now be able to enjoy with our family together in one car taking trips! I recommend for anyone to go in and speak with Denise she works wonders.

When I initially began looking for a vehicle, I was immediately discouraged as many dealerships wouldn't work with me either due to my low credit score or my income. When I came to Denice at La Fontaine she was able to not only get my credit approved but at a payment rate that I could afford. I was very pleased with my experience and have already sent friends her way and will continue to do so.

My problem was a bad credit history. If that is what has been blocking you? Look NO FURTHER! GO SEE THE QUEEN! The Queen has many 'subjects' (banks) at her disposal, and under her rule. She simply does what all Queens do, she rocks and rules. I could go on and on with this review, but I believe you can prove for youself whether or not what I say is true. Just GO SEE THE QUEEN! Then get ready to write your own review about how wonderful she is while in your own car. But for right now, don't even concern yourself about a car; her dealership has MANY very nice vehicles available as do most dealerships. That part won't be a problem at all. But getting financed is FAR more important, and if your credit is anything like mine was, it doesn't matter how nice the car is if you can't get it. So I will end this review with the best thing I can tell you to do, and I cannot say it enough. GO SEE THE QUEEN! Ask for DENICE MALLIE at LaFontaine Volkswagen in Dearborn MI. A VERY THANKFUL Ron G

I found this dealership online and drove all the way from Lansing to look at a Passat. I spoke with Bernard on the phone prior to traveling to make sure they had the vehicle I saw online in stock. He assured me that they has several vehicles the same style as the one I was looking at. I called him prior to making my way and told him I was 30min away in which he said he would be waiting. upon my arrival..he was nowhere to be found. .even the manager was not able to find him. After waiting about 15min he suddenly came thru the front doors and acted as if he was surprised that I had been waiting. His demeanor was very unpleasant and he instantly wanted to do a credit app...he asked very strange questions and i felt like he didn't want to be there. After running my credit...apparently my credit was so bad that the only car I was eligible for was a prius...which i was extremely offended as i was driving an audi...like i would trade in my audi for a prius! After negotiating with the finance manager..he stated if i put down 500 they could get my the passat i wanted in which i agreed. They pulled around what i thought was a passat which turned out to be a jetta...I was very irritated and felt like they tried to scam me into buying a jetta over a passat...i wound up leaving and would never ever ever recommend this dealership to anybody. .the customer service was horrible and the business practices are shady!! Beware!!

I went to this dealership, because I had heard great things, and they had a car that I wanted. The car was overpriced, and they didn't negotiate at all. I gave them all my info for financing, and I spoke with the bank who would be financing. I made it clear I was not interested in paying anymore that $275-300 a month, and that was at the MOST. I was then called and told to come pick up the car. They never told me anything about how much it was or anything at all. Just "everything is all good. Come get the car" I get there and they take me to an office room to talk about financing options. They stated that the only thing they could do for me was take $220 out of my check bi-weekly, or $420 monthly. (keep in mind I stated that I could absolutely not go over $300.) My credit is bad, so I understand finding financing would be hard, but they didn't take anything I said into consideration, and they would absolutely not work with me in finding a resolution. I asked if I could try through a credit union, and they stated not with my credit score. They then showed me a cheaper car which was absolutely not something I was interested in. I ended up leaving, and then they called me the next day to see if I could get a co-signer. They then proceeded to call and email me almost everyday. Well, I went to another dealer, found the same car, they negotiated with me, and got me into contact with a credit union who approved me. My payments are $175. I am sure if my credit score was different, my experience would've been a lot better. I understand options were limited. But I do wish that it wouldn't have been so rushed, and I wish they would've worked a little harder to help me get what I wanted. I was a little disappointed.
