After shopping around for a while and dealing with the typical car buying run around this dealership and especially sales professional Hector Mora was a breath of fresh air. We went in, told Hector what we were looking for and how much we were willing to pay and he found us exactly what we were looking for with no pressuring or up selling. What we were looking for was not an easy find for our price range but he came through perfectly. Highly recommend.

I am compelled to write this review to express and share with others the disappointment I experienced with Bob Howard's handling of my inquiry about the whereabouts of the check for my tag, tax, and title that I had financed into my purchase contract with them on June 15, but had not yet received. First, though, let me say that purchasing the car went well. My salesman, Mr. Mike Gannaway, was very kind and helpful. I felt I had made the right choice. But then, things went down hill. I received the papers on my car on around June 25,. I thought it odd that the check was not with the papers. But I allowed a few more days, before inquiring. I called Chase Bank to see if it was to come from them. They informed me that it would be sent out by the dealership. That's when I started inquiring as to the whereabouts of the check. I first called on Tuesday, June 30. I spoke to someone in accounting (Grant?) and asked about my check. He said he didn't know, but he would find out and get back with me. I received a call the same day from my salesman asking me what the problem was. I explained to him. He said accounting handles the checks and that he would give my name and phone number to them and that someone would call me about it. I never heard from accounting. I called the next day and talked to my salesman again. He said he would resubmit my name and phone number to accounting, but once again they never called. This went on the rest of the week. No answers. I checked my mail on July 6 to see if it had been mailed. I also checked the mail on July 7 and July 8. No check. My husband called Bob Howard and asked to speak to a manager and I called to asked to speak to someone in Finance. My husband left a message and I talked with a Travis in Finance. He was aware of my inquiries and said he would email accounting and get back with me. He never called me back but a manager called my husband. Once again we explained our situation and he said he would get back with us. Thursday, July 9, we waited and waited for a phone call and finally around 1:30 I called Bob Howard again. This time I called a direct number to finance. I spoke to Leslie who had to call me back. She did and told me I could pick up my check. No explanation and no apology. My husband and I went to Bob Howard to pick up the check. A salesman greeted me and told me he would let Leslie know I was here. He went into her office and came back out with the check. I wanted to meet her to ask what the problem was, but when I looked at the check it was made out to the Oklahoma Tax Commission as well as myself. This made me very angry. I questioned why and her answer was not clear. Finally a male coworker of hers gave the excuse that that was their policy. Where they assuming I wasn't going to buy my tag for a car I just paid $27,000 for? Was the money not mine? It was insulting for them to make out the check the way they did, and for them not to apologize for the inconvenience I had been put through. This is a classic case of poor service after the sale.

Thank you for taking time to fill out the reivew. My name is Buck Barton and I am the General Manager. I recevied a voice mail from your husband yesterday at 2.48pm about the check for your TTL not being in the paper work that was mailed to you after your car purchse. I called him back at 3.54pm to respond to his question as soon as I got the voice mail. I told him I apolgoized that the check was not in there and that I would process his check right away. I processed the check as soon as I got off the phone and I had his check ready for pick up this afternoon. I had my finance department call to let him know the check was ready for pick up. We are required when we make a check back for TTL to the customer when a customer finances in the taxes to include the Oklahoma Tax Commission, otherwise it would be income back to you and would be cash and you would be taxed a 1099 income on the amount back to you from the car deal. I apologize that you are upset the check was made out that way. I also apologize about the miss communcation from the finance department and lack of phone calls. However as soon as I was involved with the issue it was handled in less than 24 hours and the check was ready for pick up. We pride oursevles in giving excellent customer serivce as you can see by our many 5 star reviews we get. When something does go wrong and when we do make a mistake we do in fact correct it. I hope that you give us a second chance and will bring your vehicle back in for service and purchse your next vehicle from us here at Bob Howard Honda. I again thank you for your business and I hope that you get many miles of driving pleassure in your all new Honda CRV! Thank you, Buck Barton General Manager Bob Howard Honda.

Once again, the run around I received was no excuse. I don't think this matter had to get the manager involved if the employees were trained to handle these types of situations. No response from accounting over a two-week period is not acceptable. In reference to putting The Tax Commission's Name on the check was an option of yours. If I had to pay more taxes, I would have no problem with that. This information could have been mentioned to me at the time I requested the tag, tax, and license money be financed into my loan. I still have not got an explanation as to why the check didn't come with the papers in the first place.

The check request was simply not done and slipped through the cracks when the paperwork was mailed to you. Our accounting office processes over 3,000 car deals per month. Our accounting office for the most part does an excellent job. But with that many deals happening per month a mistake will happen from time to time, as no one is perfect. Again I apologize about that happening. I am glad we were able to get the check cut and back to you and taken care of. I uunderstand it has been a hassel and I apologize again.
