My husband and I purchased a Lexus NX from Kuni Lexus of Greenwood Village. Every part of the experience far exceeded our expectations! This truly remarkable dealership lives up to a first-class “Lexus experience.” Every person we dealt with from initial contact to delivery of our vehicle listened to our needs, wishes, and budget, intuitively provided us information of alternative choices, and following our purchase, provided one-on-one training so that we could easily transition into enjoying all of the cutting-edge features in our new vehicle. Management sets the tone and expectations for an organization and General Manager, Shawn Evans, leads by example. He has created an atmosphere that is polished, welcoming, professional, and elegant, with a staff that is extremely knowledgeable about their products and the industry, yet not pushy. If you are interested in a luxury automobile that is matched with a first-class luxury experience, I highly recommend Kuni Lexus of Greenwood Village.

Kuni Lexus in Greenwood has a beautiful facility. Its sales personnel are professional and dressed the part. When I came in on Saturday, April 18th, I was referred to Danny, one of their used car personnel. Danny was knowledgeable and very good at his job. He knew the vehicle he was selling and, as a sales person, was very good at his job! After we had gone back and forth for a while, we had come to an agreement on a purchase price/price for my trade in, and decided to move forward with the sale. Here is where we ran into the problem. I have purchased five cars over the last couple of years from different dealerships in different states. I am very familiar with different sales techniques and what is required by law to purchase a vehicle. The finance manager for Kuni, Richi, was summoned when I stated that I did not want to fill out a credit application. I had a dealer check from my bank on hand and was ready to go. The finance manager stated a bunch of things about 9/11, Homeland Security, and the legal necessity for me to sign my approval for him to pull my credit report. For those unaware, there is no legal requirement, law, or regulation that states a car dealership needs to run your credit for the sale of the vehicle. Having my credit run is no big deal, of course. After your first initial credit report pull (which was done by my bank) there should be no further impact to your credit score. What I did not appreciate was being lied to. When I called out the Finance Manager, he basically doubled down, stating that "no car dealership in Colorado would sell me a car without running a credit application" and continued to carry on about how he "had to due to law". When I asked for a regulation/law, he couldn't cite one, and instead showed me a piece of paper concerning OFAC. I read up on OFAC, and while it is a requirement for cash buyers, it does not require any sort of "credit check". In the final moments of my day here, before leaving without any car/sale, I told the finance manager that if it was a "dealership requirement", they can do what they please, but that the main reason I was leaving was that I was being lied to about what is necessary to buy a car. Also, I checked with four more dealers in the Denver area, and all of them stated they could take a dealer check without running my credit. Huh. The next day, I received a phone call from Mr Evans regarding the events that transpired the previous day. I was able to discuss my concerns w/Mr Evans and Mr Carni, which led to a better understanding of their dealership protocols and a hashing out of our miscommunication. Thereafter, the dealership ended up bending over backward to ensure I got the car I wanted at a fair price while making the entire process as simple as possible. While I felt I did have to be a bit of a pain (sorry, gentlemen!), in the end I walked away with a car I love from a team of people who worked their hardest to make my life easy. You know what? I think I would buy another car here. Also, the facility is still -outrageously- nice.

Went into dealership thinking that if I can get a quick answer to my financing questions and a great deal and I did not have to wait around there would be a good chance I would buy a car. If any of these requirements fell short of my expectation I would not have purchased a car! Needless to say I bought one! Exceptional experience overall!
