I recently purchased a 2015 TOYOTA PRERUNNER DOUBLE CAB at Charles Maund Toyota and the experience exceeded my expectations across the board. Carolos Samudio (New Car Sales) from the initial point of contact did a great job. He was responsive to my inquiries and diligent in working hard to ensure I found the exact vehicle of my liking. I worked with Brendan (Finance) who I can not say enough good things about. He was professional, funny and played a crucial role in my decision to purchase a vehicle at Charles Maund Toyota. I am also impressed with the follow-up after the sales to date. I hope the service department is as enjoyable to work with and recommend Charles Maund Toyota highly if you are looking to purchase a new vehicle!

We had a terrible, awful, horrible experience with Charles Maund. We were lied to about when our car would be delivered, lied to about when it actually arrived, and felt generally taken advantage of in the delivery process. Fast forward to the day we were buying the car. Nearly EVERY SINGLE THING on our paperwork was wrong (name, address, email, down payment amount, financing options, etc), and our finance guy would change one thing, then forget to change the rest, change another thing, forget to change the rest, and on and on and on. What should have taken 20 minutes took over an hour and a half. THEN, about 7 days after we bought our car, I get a call from the same finance guy saying they never got the check from our bank, and to "expedite the process" for them. So I went up to our bank, and they were able to track the check and see that it was signed for FIVE DAYS EARLIER. The finance guy said "Oh, I never checked for it. I'll see if I can find it." Then why would he call me?!?! Finally, and most importantly, they ran our credit illegally. We repeatedly said we have our own credit, do not run our credit, and about 2 weeks later I get a letter in the mail saying Charles Maund requested my credit, along with my credit scores. When I told the manager all this, they said they'd buy me a tank of gas. I asked for credit monitoring for a year (after reading horror stories online...and after they said they had no idea who ran my credit), and they refused. Save your energy, time and money, and go to Round Rock Toyota. I recently took my car in to them to get something fixed, and they said they get 5-6 people A DAY who come in from Charles Maund because of a bad experience.

One of the worse service in the world. They have absolutely no respect for Customer's time and they don't know the real meaning of scheduling an appointment. They don't start the service on appointment time. One of the worse management in the world. Last time I was there for Toyota vehicle recall. I was there 15 minutes before the appointment time. They couldn't start the job on time and when I went to ask after 2 hours, they said, I have to wait 2 more hours before they look at my car. I had to come home without the service was done after wasting 2 hours there for nothing. After I made a complain with Toyota head office, They called me and made an another appointment for today at 2 pm. I was there on time, they said it will take 5 hours to do the job (which is supposed to be done within 1 hour according to the Toyota recall letter says on the letter). I have a worse experience with (Charles Maund Toyota 8400 Research Boulevard Austin, TX 78758) and I don't recommend anybody to go there for a service because these guys don't have a respect for customers time and they don't start the service on schedule time.

Dear Sir or Madam, I'm writing regarding a horrible experience we just had at Charles Maund Toyota in Austin, Texas. My wife purchased a certified pre-owned 2014 Toyota 4Runner. As we began signing, the sales manager, Jim DiMeo, told us "by the way, you'll have to buy a key for the vehicle." It turns out the wireless key was not included in the price of the vehicle. You're kidding, right? No, no joke! In dismay, we pointed out the various related features advertised with the vehicle. Remote keyless entry and Panic Alarm. "Yes, the vehicle has those features." was his response. "How exactly can we use them, without a key?" we asked. "Buy a key." In trying to explain the ridiculousness of what we were hearing, we were interrupted and insulted by Jim in several ways during our conversation. Jim did not treat us like loyal customers at all! My wife pointed out that the next person would want a key as well. Jim's reply was "do you want it or not? After you leave I'll go make a key and sell it to the next guy." Seriously! Both the salesman and financing manager were great and even apologized to us for Jim's behavior. However, it's obvious that we aren't the first people who've been on the wrong side of the table with Jim DiMeo. I can't understand how a Toyota dealership could be allowed to conduct business in this manner! I've driven and love Toyota vehicles for 18 or more years and have never been treated in such a manner! I won't be visiting Charles Maund Toyota again! Jim DiMeo will never get my business again! Thank you, David Sorensen

I agree with one of the review from Mr. Tapan Patel. Sales persons are very rude. Once you sign paper with them without checking it properly they will ruin your pleasure of buying new car. If we ask any explanation they will ask to keep shut or they will tell you to leave the dealership. I purchased Toyota Camry LE recently from them. Deal was of $5000 off on price which is posted on car. Price was 24814. At the time of deal it was decided that no matter which vehicle I buy they will give me discount of $5000 on Price posted on car. So I decided to buy vehicle with $24814 price on car. Frankly speaking this is also not a discount. They are making fool customers by telling them that they are giving discount. But actually they are not giving any discount that is the actual market price of car. If they will not give discount nobody will buy Camry LE from them at $24814. After finalizing deal sales person came to me and told me that I have to pay $547 extra as they are giving me below said 3 extra things with car. I said it is not there why I should pay extra money. He told, sir we will do it for you in $547. 1. Nitrogen Tire fill for $69 (here again they are charging more money. As average cost to fill a tire can vary widely, anywhere from $3-10 per tire, depending on several variables such as tire size, tire pressure. Check below link getnitrogendotorg for details.) 2. Window Tint $299.00. Toyota service centers are doing this in $199.95. So no need to provide any link for proof. 3. Pin Stripe $179.00- Again Toyota service centers are doing this in $100.00. So no need to provide any link for proof. I purchased car on Saturday (06/27). They told me that they will complete tinting and pin striping on Monday (06/29). When I took car to them Monday morning they said it will take at least 2 week to get appointment. I cannot do anything other than requesting them to do it early. They gave me appointment of 10.00 am on 6/30 after waiting for 1:30 hr they said that we cannot do it today. Come again on Thursday. I asked them to return my money for Window Tint and Pin Stripe. I don’t want to do it. After lot of discussion with multiple managers they decided to return me $244 and they actually charged 478 for it. Now here comes all liars together and told me that they gave discount including all prices. Even if they gave discount including all, calculation is as below. They gave discount of $5000.00 on $25414. That means they gave me discount of 19.67%. So for Service of 478 they gave me discount of $94.04. So if they want to return me money they should return me $384 but they were offering me $244. God know how they calculated it. When I started arguing with them David one of the sales person told me that if you are not listening to us and keep arguing with us, you will be ask to leave dealership now. Experience with finance guy Santana was good. He answered all my queries. He gave proper answers to all questions instead of saying that you will be ask to leave dealership now. Guys who are posting reviews here and give this dealership 5 stars, please check your bills and do calculations again. You will come to know how they are charging extra money from all buyers. They are good till you sign papers. But they are once you sign papers and hand over check you cannot ask them anything.
