Who Helped Me:Jose Reyes, Marco, and Jennifer
The worst experience of my life. Took my 2005 Honda odyssey for a diagnostic because my check engine light was flashing. On a Thursday night spoke to Jose Reyes and was told that a diagnostic was to be completed and would get a call the next day. However, did not get a call at all which i ended up calling myself on Tuesday of the following week asking for Jose and he was not available. I was transferred to Mark who would then tell me he needed me to come in and look at my car. When i arrived they had taken the engine apart which i never authorized. Then he tells me that my engine needed extensive repairs and his quote was estimated at $672. When i told him to forget it, and put my engine parts back together Mark insisted for me to leave the car and he would see if he can give me a discounted price and guaranteed me that he would have my car ready for friday. Now Friday arrives and no call from Mark. Now nearly two weeks have passed and i speak to Jennifer the general manager at honda parts. She then gives me a different estimate to fully complete my repairs so that my car can be operational at a cost of $2,300. i was completely dumbfounded that my car needed so much repairs. i finally went back infuriated to retrieve my car which no work was performed and after hours of arguing with the general manager to release my car i had to pay $272. for a diagnostic in their term meant that they needed to open my engine with out my authorization. i shouldve reported them to the better business bureau for misrepresentation. My advice is avoid these clowns at all cost they mislead people so that they can over charge for maintenance that your car doesnt really needed. They are obviously running some type of scam. BEWARE!!

Who Helped Me:Eddie Yoo, service manager
My new Honda Accord Hybrid only a few months old had a transmission warning light appear and Manhattan Honda said it was a bad solenoid that shifts the gears. They promised to have it repaired by Tuesday November 27, and still not done. They claim only service manager can fix and he is out sick. I use the car for Uber and I am losing $500/day because of their awful service department. Don't buy your Honda at Manhattan Honda!

Who Helped Me:Alex Wu
Being a new 2016 Accord Touring owner, I needed help to connect my phone to the Android Auto. I came to Honda Manhattan, and Alex Wu was there to help me. He was very knowledgeable, and proactively helpful. Throughout the process, he was consistently pleasant, patient, and ever ready to answer my questions. In addition to solving the issue of the phone connection, Alex on his own initiative, gave me a lengthy but much needed tutorial on the basic controls of the feature-rich Touring. DKH

Who Helped Me:Jason DeJesus
Purchased a 2013 Honda Accord from Honda of Manhattan on March 31, 2015. We had a terrible experience with this dealership. We had to return multiple times from Long Island to the west side of Manhattan, in traffic, to be told that our car wasn't ready. We were told by the manager that they would deduct $200 from the price of the car for our trouble. Before we signed the documents, we gave the agent the credit card we used for the down payment to get the credit issued since we were carrying cashier's check for the exact amount of the transaction. After we signed the docs and paid, we were told they would send us a check instead. On top of that, we overpaid on the sales tax which we were told we would be reimbursed for. It is now September 11, 2015 and we still have not received any checks from Honda of Manhattan. I feel like my husband are being given the runaround and wasting our breath making phone calls. I'm about ready to report them to the Better Business Bureau. This is not the way you treat customers and they should be ashamed of themselves because now they look like a bunch of crooks.

Who Helped Me:Earl McNeil
Honda has my $4000 and has not returned it. I was not going to review if my deposit was immediately returned, but looks like I'm going to have to get my bank, the BBB, Corporate Honda and the NY State Attorney General involved today. I made the mistake of walking in the door of Honda of Manhattan. DON'T DO IT. I had the intent of leasing a FIT or a Civic. Earl greeted me and told me the dealers don't work for commission, they are honest, etc etc. (only a half-truth by the way - some of the dealers still work on commission I learned). Just the first of several lies. I was handed off to a very nice younger salesperson who consistently hit on me, but that is the least of the problems at this dealership. Long story short, Honda took a $4000 deposit BEFORE giving me a monthly payment number (saying I had to give this to have the financials run), then told me they were closing, letting me leave without a monthly payment number (just a "range"). Hello, alarm bells?!? They tricked me into thinking I was leaving with a car which was the ONLY reason I placed a deposit at all (Earl 2 days later told me the couldn't run my finances Sunday or Monday and that was why the wait --- interesting considering you said you could I could take home a 2014 Showroom Civic THAT DAY, when I told Ronnie I did not want to move forward if there was a hold up. You would have been able to run my financials in that case!? In fact, I said multiple times I did not want to move forward if there was a hold up. Why you would not thoroughly explain the process is beyond me, if this is the truth (which it seems like it's not.) The next day I called my salesperson and the manager multiple times practically begging for the monthly lease numbers, being forwarded to voicemail each time. When I called a 5th time and demanded to stay on the line, after 15 minutes of waiting, I finally spoke to Earl who told me I needed to "calm my nerves". (He did apologize for this when I confronted him about it in person later.) My salesperson called me back about 4 hours later and reached my voicemail - flirting and answering ZERO questions about financing (telling me he personally picked up my car from storage - Umm , what car!?!?? I don't have a price! I am not taking a car for which I have not been given a price! Anyway, 2 days later and several times of being forwarded to voicemail, I finally got a call from Earl letting me know he would tell me over the phone what my monthly payment number was, though they "don't normally do that" (Harder to walk away in person after you've been jerked around for 2-3 days, right? Nice sales trick you have there, guys.) At that point I had already decided I did not want to lease a car from people who lied, ignored phone calls, played games. and are basically unreachable. No thanks to 3 years of that with a lease! I can't even imagine attempting to get maintenance. PS - I emailed Jason (customer service mgr) from Honda Manhattan multiple times - he has ignored every email (Don't want the paper trail? I wouldn't if I were you either.) Jason did attempt to call me Wednesday after several emails he ignored. I did not call back because I only want the paper trail, so the lies are written. The dealers here seem friendly on the outside, but are very skillful in stretching the truth. Terrible dealership. Unacceptable practices. RUN AWAY!! PS - the owner of this business owns several dealerships nearby on 11th Avenue. Shop elsewhere.
