I was excited on buying my new car and was ready to buy the hot lava RAV4. This was my third day back and I brought my mom. I was telling the salesman that when I looked online that the price was different than what was on the quote and i was wondering why. He got defensive and without looking said that it was another car and not the same one , then he said it was a different vin number and i showed him it wasnt, then he was saying the tech department has not done their job to upadte it and that the price he told me was the right price. i informed him that that was false advertisement. my mom moved on and asked about rebates, she told him this afternoon she saw a rebate in Longview online and he said that there is no rebate and someone lied to you without even looking into it. At that point we got up and walked out. he never apologized and he wouldnt listen to anything we had to say. He was treating us like idiots. very disrespectful!!

The entire staff was great! Will was so nice. I didn't think I was in a situation to get anything new. I had a down payment for a preowned corolla. I left with a awesome Corolla. I am thrilled and couldn't have done it all without Will's advise.

Our family has stayed with Yokem throughout the years, with my parents being the exception with their two most recent vehicles. Sales experience has always been great, service has been wonderful (minus the overprice oil change, but thats with majority of dealerships.) Gary Lindsay is my particular advisor and he is amazing!! Anytime my car is kept overnight, he will set me up with a courtesy vehicle until mine is finished. As far as sales go, Leonard Washington is the guy that sold us our vehicles. He's always been very nice to us. He is now the sales manager, but the entire staff is wonderful. My only complaint is that the chairs in the waiting area aren't that comfortable if you have to wait for longer than an hour, ha. If you're looking to buy or get service, Yokem is where it's at with Toyota's! I live by my Toyota and will always drive one!

*IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING BUYING A VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP, PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE REVIEW. I PURCHASED A $20,000 VEHICLE THAT HAS NEEDED $6000 IN REPAIRS IN 60 DAYS, AND NOW HAS A VOIDED WARRANTY FROM THIS BUSINESS NOT DOING ITS JOB! This is the information regarding my recent automobile purchase (a 2008 Toyota Tundra with 43,000 miles on it) from Yokem Toyota in Shreveport, Louisiana. The vehicle needs $6000 worth of repairs from 60 DAYS from the purchase date with a VOIDED WARRANTY from parts that were installed PRIOR TO THE SALE. Vehicle was test driven and signed for on 3/22/2014. Vehicle had 42,300 miles. At the point of purchase I was offered a warranty through Toyota Extra Care. I purchased a $1800 3 year, 36,000 mile coverage plan. I was told by the financial advisor that I could not purchase a Toyota warranty after the vehicle left the dealer because it had been thoroughly inspected by their service department AND WAS PROVEN TO TOYOTA TO BE IN WARRANTABLE SHAPE. Vehicle was picked up the next weekend on 3/27/2014. Drivetrain noise was horrible, I checked the differential fluid and found it full of metal. The fluid was replaced before I even got the vehicle all the way home. It was driven home on 3/28/2014 and went straight to my local Toyota dealership (Philpott Toyota) for service. On the commute from Shreveport to Nederland the check engine light also came on (later found out to be the passenger side catalytic converter), the serpentine belt started squeaking, and I received a call from the person following me home that I had a brake light out. Vehicles must be able to be inspected by the state to be sold by dealerships, this one was not. The dealership asked me to claim the catalytic converter and the differential under warranty (which I feel I should have not had to do). The warranty that I had purchased for the truck would not cover either because the truck had modifications. The factory exhaust "y" pipe had been cut to fit an aftermarket muffler, and the differential had traction/stabilizer bars bolted to it. After warranty denied the claims, Yokem Toyota agreed to pay for those repairs. I asked for them to cover the squeaking belt also and was denied. I paid the $40 and put the belt on myself. The service manager admitted to hearing the belt squeaking while the vehicle was in his shop but stated it was not a necessary repair. These repairs were completed at 42,543 miles and SHOULD HAVE BEEN COMPLETED PRIOR TO THE SALE OF THE VEHICLE. *Upon finding out that the warranty that yokem had sold me would not cover the differential, I was informed by the service manager of yokem that the warranty would not cover the item due to it being already broken prior to the sale of the vehicle. I called the warranty company myself to find out why the item was not covered. Toyota told me the differential could not be warrantied due to the modification (traction bars) installed on the vehicle. I was sold the vehicle and the warranty on the vehicle with the traction bars ON. After the repairs had been completed, I asked Toyota Extended Care warranty what I could do to make the truck warrantable. I was instructed to remove the traction bars, so I spent my own time removing them that week. The truck was making the same noise again on or around 4/11/2014. The vehicle was taken back to Philpott to be looked at. The dealership had to drain the differential 3 times to remove all of the metal shavings that had been left behind they say they could not clean. Service records submitted saying the traction bars had been removed from the truck at this time (43,012 miles). Vehicle was taken back to Philpott Toyota for the same noise on 5/9/2014 . The truck has 43,798 miles on it at this time, a total of around 1500 total miles from Yokem Toyotas lot to this time. A bearing was found to be bad in the transmission, and the unit needs to be replaced. Warranty was called on the issue, and the claim was denied due to the traction bars being installed previously. Yokem Toyota has denied covering the transmission repair. The vehicle would have never been purchased if I would have not been able to buy a reputable, honorable warranty on it. Yokem Toyota refused to take the vehicle back on May 23rd, 2014 at 3:25 PM. I either need the full amount paid for the vehicle back ($18,800), the vehicle taken back with no credit damaged, or for every repair up to 3 years or 36,000 miles from the point of purchase to be covered.
