Luxury Car Deals: June 2012
Although many car shoppers may think upscale vehicles are priced out of their reach, June incentives may help them change their minds. Luxury automakers are fiercely competitive, with each trying to meet optimistic sales targets and outsell their rivals. As a result, there are many great deals currently available on luxury cars. We've listed some of the best offers available on our favorite high-end models throughout June.
Despite its recent redesign, BMW's iconic 3 Series sport sedan is already available with special lease deals in June. According to the automaker, the freshly styled 328i can be leased for just $399 per month for 36 months after $3,874 due at signing, while the new 335i starts at $459 per month with a slightly higher down payment. Neither offer is tremendous compared with those of rivals, but both represent reasonable prices on a brand new sedan that's sure to be in high demand among car shoppers for a long time to come. Unfortunately, buyers interested in low interest rates on the new 3 Series are out of luck, as BMW isn't offering any finance deals on the sedan.
Although Chevrolet is certainly not a traditional luxury brand, the Corvette sports car is often considered alongside high-performance models from BMW, Audi, Mercedes and even Porsche. Through the end of June, sport-minded car shoppers have an extra reason to consider the Corvette thanks to 0 percent interest for up to 60 months on all 2012 models. Buyers willing to finance a leftover 2011 model will see that offer increase to 72 months, while shoppers interested in paying cash for last year's Vette can get a rebate for up to $4,000 off nearly any model of the sports car.
Infiniti's mid-size M sedan is available with several special lease deals and finance offers throughout June. According to the automaker, qualified buyers interested in financing the sedan can get interest rates as low as 1.9 percent for 60 months or 2.9 percent for 72 months on all versions, from the base M37 to the miserly M Hybrid and even the V8-powered M56. Lease rates on the sedan start at $479 per month after $2,999 at signing for the M37, rising to $559 for the Hybrid and a whopping $709 per month for the M56-although we think the sedan's 420 horsepower and 417 lb-ft of torque may justify the added expense.
With a new model on the way, Lexus is trying to clear out remaining stock of its mid-size ES350 sedan with several special offers available in June. According to the automaker, shoppers interested in leasing an ES350 for 36 months can get monthly payments as low as $399, with $3,822 required at lease signing. For buyers who would prefer to finance the front-wheel-drive luxury sedan, Lexus is advertising interest rates as low as 1.9 percent to qualified shoppers for up to 60 months. That's a rare low-interest offer from the upscale brand.
Mercedes' recently redesigned SLK convertible is available with an impressive lease deal in June. For buyers interested in the surprisingly quick SLK250, which offers a 201-horsepower 1.8-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, Mercedes is advertising lease rates of just $499 per month after $4,569 due at signing. Shoppers will also find a good deal on the muscular SLK350-which boasts a powerful 302-horsepower V6-as Mercedes is offering the sporty convertible for just $619 per month after $4,964 at signing. While both deals require substantial down payments, they also let buyers lock in a reasonable monthly payment for a quick, handsome and surprisingly agile upscale convertible.
What it means to you: A little competition among luxury brands is a good thing for buyers.
