Luxury Car Deals: May 2012
Car shoppers looking for a deal on a luxury car this month will be pleased to learn that several automakers are advertising a host of attractive offers on various models. We've combed through each of them, rounding up some of the best deals available throughout May on a wide variety of desirable, luxurious cars from premium manufacturers.
Although zero-down lease offers are few and far between among luxury cars, Acura is currently advertising several such deals on its lineup. According to the automaker, car shoppers can lease a 2012 TSX sedan with zero down and monthly payments of just $350 per month for 35 months throughout May. For shoppers looking for a bit more practicality, the automaker is also offering the cavernous TSX wagon for an extra $30 per month over the sedan. A down payment of just $1,999 sees both offers drop even further, with the TSX sedan falling to $299 per month and the wagon to a $329 monthly payment.
Infiniti G37 Convertible
With a starting price of more than $47,000 including destination, Infiniti's sporty G37 Convertible may seem expensive at first glance - but the droptop is surprisingly affordable thanks to a series of special offers available throughout May. For shoppers looking to lease, Infiniti is advertising a well-equipped G37 Convertible for $619 per month with nothing due at signing - a rate that drops to just $519 per month with an initial down payment of $3,499. For qualified buyers interested in financing their G37 Convertible through Infiniti Financial Services, the automaker is also offering a deal in the form of low interest rates that start at just 1.9 percent for up to 60 months.
Since Lincoln already unveiled its freshly redesigned MKZ midsize sedan at this year's New York Auto Show, the automaker is beginning to clear out inventory of the current model. That's good news for car shoppers looking for a deal, as the sedan is available with a whopping $2,500 cash back for buyers paying in full or zero percent interest for up to 60 months and $500 cash back for car shoppers interested in financing through Lincoln Automotive Financial Services. Lincoln also recently announced its model lineup now features a complimentary 4-year, 50,000-mile complimentary maintenance plan that includes oil changes and tire rotations, giving the automaker a leg up over several competitors.
Mercedes is offering several special lease rates on its midsize E-Class throughout May. While most models require between $4,600 and $5,500 down and feature monthly payments ranging from $599 to $699, the best deal is on the highly efficient E350 BlueTEC, which features a 210-horsepower 3.5-liter turbodiesel V6. Offered only as a sedan, the E350 BlueTEC can be had for just $579 per month for 24 months after only $3,873 at signing - a surprisingly good value among premium midsize sedans. Worried that the E350 BlueTEC's engine may not be enough? The sedan's diesel motor also produces a whopping 400 pound-feet of torque, leading to acceleration times that rival gas-powered E350 models.
As many automakers remove costly convertibles from their lineups, Volvo remains one of the few brands left offering an upscale droptop with a base price of just over $40,000. Throughout May, the C70's pricing is even more attractive thanks to interest rates as low as 2.9 percent for up to 72 months. Shoppers interested in leasing a C70 can also find a deal, with Volvo advertising monthly payments as low as $449 per month with less than $3,000 due at signing - not bad for an upscale model that features a 227-horsepower turbocharged engine and a long list of standard equipment that includes leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate controls, Bluetooth and - of course - a power operated retractable hardtop.
What it means to you: Don't let sticker shock get to you - many luxury cars are available with incentives and special offers that can lower their initially steep prices.
