Luxury SUV Deals: June 2012
With summer fast approaching, many car shoppers are turning their attention away from go-anywhere SUVs and toward sports cars, sedans and other fair-weather vehicles. If you're no fair-weather friend but seek an SUV at this time of year, many automakers are offering surprisingly strong incentives on SUVs throughout June, and some of the best deals are in the competitive luxury-SUV segment. We've rounded up some great offers on our favorite premium SUVs to help buyers find the right vehicle at the right price in June
Acura's recently redesigned, second-generation RDX SUV is available with two lease offers throughout June. According to the automaker, SUV shoppers interested the base-level RDX can lease one for just $399 per month after $2,799 due at signing. For lease customers interested in adding the SUV's Technology package, which includes an upgraded stereo with a music hard drive, a navigation system and a power rear liftgate, the RDX starts at $449 per month after $3,699 at signing. While both lease rates are pricey, they still represent a good value on the new 2013 RDX, which now includes a standard 273-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 in place of last year's turbocharged 4-cylinder.
The sporty BMW X5 is available with several attractive lease rates throughout June. According to the automaker, car shoppers interested in a 6-cylinder X5 xDrive35i can sign a 36-month lease on a well-equipped example at $569 per month after $4,300 at signing, saving around $60 per month versus the rival Mercedes-Benz ML350. BMW is offering the same lease rate on its diesel-powered X5 xDrive35d, which offers improved fuel economy and a monstrous 425 lb-ft of torque-125 more than the gasoline engine. For buyers interested in more power, BMW says its V8-powered X5 xDrive50i can be leased for $749 per month after $4,500 at signing.
Featuring a standard 300-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 and available all-wheel drive, the mid-size Cadillac SRX is offered with two welcome incentives in June. According to the automaker, lease rates on the SUV start at a reasonable $399 per month after only $3,449 at signing-an attractive offer, but one that allows only 10,000 miles annually to drivers. Buyers looking to finance the SRX will find an even better deal, with interest rates as low as 0.9 percent available on the mid-size SUV for up to 36 months. That's a rare find in the luxury segment.
Several excellent special offers will likely boost sales of Infiniti's compact EX35 crossover throughout June. According to the automaker, qualified buyers interested in financing an EX35 can get interest rates as low as 1.9 percent for up to 60 months or 2.9 percent for 72 months on all 2012 models. Shoppers interested in leasing the crossover will also get a great deal, with zero-down leases starting at $569 per month and regular rates available from $459 per month after $3,999 at signing. SUV shoppers interested in something larger can find similar interest rates on Infiniti's mid-size FX, although lease rates predictably rise slightly because of the larger model's higher cost.
Despite an aging design, Volvo's mid-size XC90 is still in high demand thanks to stylish lines, impressive dynamics and competitive pricing. Through the end of June, pricing is even more attractive thanks to interest rates as low as 2.9 percent for up to 72 months and monthly lease rates starting at $469 after $3,000 at signing. Buyers looking for something smaller with a newer design may appreciate Volvo's handsome XC60, which can be leased through the end of June for just $399 per month after $3,400 at signing.
What it means to you: Prices may seem daunting at first glance, but nearly every upscale SUV is available with some sort of incentive to make it more affordable.
