Minivan Deals: January 2013
With several minivans vying for sales in a competitive market, it can be difficult to choose the right one. We've listed today's top minivan deals and incentives on several of the most popular models, to help buyers find a great deal if they're interesting in getting a new van in January.
Dodge Grand Caravan
The 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan is available with a host of deals in January. Cash back offers top most competitors' deals, reaching as high as $2,000 on SXT, Crew and R/T models. For lease shoppers, the brand is also offering a good deal, with payments from $299 per month for 36 months after $2,999 at the lease signing. But the best deal is probably the one for shoppers interested in financing the van, as parent company Chrysler is offering zero percent interest for up to 36 months. That provides an attractive deal for both qualified finance customers and cash buyers.
There are two incentives being offered on the Honda Odyssey minivan this month, both for shoppers interested in financing the minivan. For those who don't mind short-term financing with higher payments, Honda is offering interest rates as low as 0.9 percent for up to 36 months. For qualified buyers who would rather stretch out the term for lower payments, the interest rate jumps to 1.9 percent. Unfortunately, last month's lease deals are no longer available -- though we'd expect to see them return this spring.
Minivan buyers on a budget might want to consider the compact Mazda5, which has seating for six, sliding doors and car-like fuel economy. It's also a great deal in January thanks to interest rates as low as zero percent for up to 60 months for leftover 2012 models. And for shoppers who would prefer the latest model year, Mazda is also offering the 2013 Mazda5 with zero percent interest -- though the newer model requires a shorter 36-month term to take advantage of the low rate.
The recently redesigned Nissan Quest is available in January with some attractive deals. One is a low-interest offer that provides a zero percent rate to qualified shoppers for up to 36 months. Another is an enticing lease deal that features monthly payments from just $299 for up to 39 months after a $2,999 initial payment. But the best deal is Nissan's cash back offer on the Quest, which can add up to an incredible $5,850 after all offers are counted and subtracted from the bottom line.
Toyota is offering its usual round of good deals on the popular 2013 Toyota Sienna minivan this month. Finance customers get the best deal, as Toyota is touting interest rates as low as zero percent for up to 60 months. That's an offer that even cash buyers may find difficult to refuse. Lease shoppers also get a good deal, with Toyota promoting monthly payments from just $289 after $2,999 at signing on the latest 2013 model. The brand is even sweetening the deal with $500 in cash back on all leases.
While the Ford Flex certainly isn't a minivan, the large crossover boasts several attractive features that may appeal to minivan shoppers. Such items include third row seating, a car-based chassis with a low load floor for easy access and fuel economy that reaches as high as 24 miles per gallon on the highway. We're also impressed with the Flex's car-like ride and handling. In January, shoppers interested in the Flex can get a great deal on leftover 2012 models, as the automaker is offering zero percent interest for up to 60 months plus up to $4,500 in cash back. For shoppers who want the latest 2013 Flex, that model is available with zero percent interest for 48 months or 0.9 percent for up to 60 months, plus up to $3,500 in cash back.
