Pickup Truck Deals: May 2013
Automakers are offering their latest pickup trucks with a host of great deals in May. We've rounded up our favorite pickup truck deals on several new models. That should give shoppers a good starting point as they begin their search for a new truck this month.
Chevrolet Silverado 1500
The Chevrolet Silverado is a full-size pickup available in dozens of configurations. In May, it's offered with several incentives as Chevrolet begins clearing dealer lots to make room for an all-new 2014 model. Shoppers looking to finance a Silverado 1500 can get zero percent interest for up to 60 months. For drivers who would rather lease, Chevrolet is offering a 39-month term with monthly payments from $319 after $2,359 at lease signing on a Silverado LT Extended Cab. And for those looking to buy a Silverado with cash, Chevrolet is offering up to $4,000 cash back, depending on the pickup's trim level and body style.
The Ford F-150 is the best-selling vehicle in America. In May, it's offered with a few incentives for shoppers, whether they're looking to finance their next truck or buy it outright. For those who want to pay in full, Ford is offering up to $3,750 cash back this month. Drivers currently leasing a competitive model can add another $1,000 to that number if they buy an F-150 in May. And for those looking to finance the truck, Ford is offering interest rates as low as 0.9 percent for 36 months or 2.9 percent for 60 months. Best of all, that offer also includes up to $1,000 cash back.
GMC Sierra 2500
The GMC Sierra is a full-size, heavy-duty truck that offers capabilities above and beyond the standard Sierra 1500. In May, it's available with two major incentives from GMC. The first is for drivers interested in financing the truck. For those buyers, GMC is offering interest rates as low as zero percent for up to 72 months. Drivers looking to pay in full can also get a great deal on the Sierra 2500: GMC is offering up to $3,750 cash back on the full-size pickup throughout May. Unfortunately, there aren't any lease offers on the Sierra 2500 in May -- and the same enticing deals aren't offered on the Sierra 3500.
The midsize Nissan Frontier is the smaller of Nissan's two trucks, and one of the few midsize pickups left on the market. In May, it's available with incentives for drivers looking to lease, finance or pay cash for their next truck. Finance shoppers get the best deal, with Nissan offering interest rates as low as zero percent for up to 60 months plus a whopping $1,500 cash back. Cash buyers also get a good deal, as Nissan is offering up to $3,500 back on the Frontier in May. For those looking to lease a Frontier, Nissan is offering a 39-month term with payments from $229 after $2,999 down. That deal is available on a Frontier SV with four-wheel drive.
The midsize Toyota Tacoma is a pickup for drivers who don't need something quite as large as a full-size pickup. In May, Toyota is offering two incentives on the pickup. The first is a lease deal: Drivers interested in leasing a 2013 Tacoma can get a Double Cab PreRunner for 36 months at $239 per month after $2,638 at lease signing. Better yet, Toyota also has a rare financing offer on the Tacoma this month. Through the end of May, qualified buyers can get a Tacoma with zero percent interest for up to 36 months.
The full-size Toyota Tundra rivals popular domestic pickups and the Nissan Titan. In May, it's available with incentives for shoppers interested in leasing or financing. For shoppers interested in financing a Tundra, Toyota is offering zero percent interest for up to 60 months. Drivers looking to spread out their payments further can also get 2.9 percent interest for up to 72 months. Toyota also has a deal available for those looking to lease their next pickup. Through the end of the month, drivers can get a 2013 Tundra Double Cab for 36 months with payments starting at $299 per month after $3,298 at lease signing.
What it means to you: Our list of pickup truck deals shows that nearly every new truck is available this month with some sort of incentive.
Incentives can vary based on where you live, so residency restrictions may apply. Also, only buyers with very good credit will qualify for most of these deals. Not all incentives are available to all customers.
