Luxury Car Leases Under $400 per Month
We believe car shoppers interested in leasing a new luxury car don't have to make exorbitant monthly payments for the privilege of luxurious appointments, an upscale experience and a high-end brand name. To prove our point, we've rounded up several of our favorite luxury cars that offer lease rates below $400 per month - a reasonable amount considering the impressive vehicles on our list.
Acura's midsize TL is a great deal for car shoppers interested in a new luxury vehicle. While most like-priced rivals offer four-cylinder engines, the TL packs a stronger punch, boasting a 305-horsepower 3.7-liter V6. It's also a great deal thanks to lease rates of just $349 per month after only $2,699 at signing. Icing on the cake is a long list of standard equipment that includes 17-inch alloy wheels, a power sunroof, Bluetooth, leather upholstery, heated front seats and dual-zone automatic climate control. For shoppers who would rather take advantage of a lower down payment, Acura also offers the TL for $410 per month with nothing due at signing.
With a starting lease rate of $399 per month, BMW's recently redesigned 3 Series is out of our budget once any options are added. But we think shoppers interested in a luxury car will find the sporty 1 Series to be a fantastic substitute. While it offers a smaller interior and exterior than the new 3 Series, the 128i retains the 230-horsepower six-cylinder powerplant from last year's 328i, giving it ample power in any situation. It's also available with a starting lease rate of just $369 after $3,594 down - a reasonable figure than includes up to $1,000 in options.
Shoppers interested in Cadillac's sharply styled CTS sedan can find great lease rates if they're willing to keep the odometer below 10,000 miles per year. According to the automaker, "ultra low-mileage" lease rates start at just $299 per month for the CTS after only $1,999 due at signing - an unbeatable deal for a car with a base price of nearly $37,000. And while that rate undoubtedly includes the CTS's base-level 270-horsepower 3.0-liter V6 instead of its award-winning direct-injection 3.6-liter powerplant, we think just about every CTS is a good choice. That's especially true considering the car's standard equipment like automatic headlights, Bluetooth, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
Infiniti G37 Coupe
The sporty Infiniti G37 coupe combines an exotic car exhaust note with fluid styling and a potent 3.7-liter V6 engine. It's also available with 24-month lease rates starting at just $349 after only $1,999 at signing - an enticing figure that includes the coupe's $2,900 premium package, which offers a power sunroof, Bose sound system and other electronic goodies. Buyers who need the all-weather security of all-wheel drive get a similar deal, with Infiniti offering its G37x Coupe for just $10 more per month and the same initial payment. Also in luck are sedan shoppers, who can take advantage of lease rates as low as $319 per month after just $1,799 at signing.
With a replacement on the horizon, Lincoln's midsize MKZ sedan is easily available to prospective lease customers for less than $400 per month. In fact, the automaker is currently offering the sedan with a starting payment of just $379 per month and nothing due at signing. Although that figure includes a muscular 263-horsepower 3.5-liter V6, heated and cooled front seats, automatic headlights and leather upholstery, we might be inclined to fork over a little extra and get the sedan's navigation package. That option group, which goes for $2,595, adds a host of technology like a navigation system, a rearview camera, a blind spot alert system and a cross-traffic alert that's useful when reversing out of tight parking spots.
As with most Mercedes models, getting a good lease rate on the C250 requires a hefty down payment. Currently, that means around $4,000 at lease signing - a big number, but one that will ensure monthly payments starting at just $369. That gives shoppers plenty of room to add options to the already well-equipped C250, including the desirable premium package: a $1,995 add-on that includes heated front seats, a Harmon/Kardon sound system, satellite radio and an iPod interface in the standard center-mounted display screen. The same lease offer is also available on the six-cylinder C300, which includes all-wheel drive for buyers in the Snow Belt.
With a starting price of around $32,000, Volvo's midsize S60 sedan is easily available with lease rates under $400 per month. For shoppers who enjoy the sedan's style and equipment, we recommend the base-level S60 T5, which boasts a starting lease price of just $299 per month after $3,300 at signing. Buyers looking for a little more muscle will undoubtedly prefer the sporty S60 T6 with its turbocharged 3.0-liter powerplant that produces a healthy 300 horsepower. While the T6 doesn't include any incentive pricing, savvy shoppers should be able to negotiate a monthly lease rate of around $380 per month with a similar initial payment as its less powerful stablemate.
What it means to you: The luxury car you've always wanted might be closer than you think.
