2014 Infiniti Q50 Pricing Announced
- Q50 to start from $37,605 with shipping
- Q50 Hybrid starts at $44,855 with shipping
- Q50 goes on sale early this summer
Infiniti has officially announced pricing for its all-new Q50. The automaker finalized prices for all versions of its 2014 Infiniti Q50 sedan, from the base-level model to the sporty Q50S -- and even the fuel-efficient Q50 Hybrid.
According to Infiniti, the base-level Q50 starts at $37,605 with shipping. That's a few hundred dollars less than the Q50's predecessor, last year's G37 sedan, which started at just over $38,000 including destination. All-wheel drive adds $1,800 to the Q50's base price, which is a slight increase over last year's $1,600 premium.
For shoppers who would prefer something sportier, Infiniti also priced the performance-oriented Q50S. That model starts at $44,105 with shipping, while all-wheel-drive versions once again carry an $1,800 premium.
Next up on the pricing scale is the new Q50 Hybrid, which features a hybrid V6 for improved gas mileage. That model starts at $44,855 and includes the Q50's optional Premium package. Finally, the range-topping Q50S Hybrid starts at $49,055. Hybrid models also offer all-wheel drive for $1,800 extra.
Despite its new name and updated styling, the Q50 still carries the same 328-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 as the outgoing G37. Hybrid models use a 354-hp hybrid V6 instead -- good for a whopping 36 miles per gallon highway with rear-wheel drive.
Unlike last year's model, a manual transmission won't be available. All Q50s will include a standard 7-speed automatic regardless of engine choice or drivetrain when they go on sale this summer.
Also unavailable are coupe and convertible versions. While today's G37 lineup includes the 2-door models, they'll be renamed Q60 next year. They will continue with their current look, though a full redesign is expected for the 2015 model year.
What it means to you: If you're interested in a luxury sedan, the 2014 Infiniti Q50 offers a new take on a popular model.
