2015 Ford Mustang Configurator Now Officially Online
- Ford's 2015 Mustang configurator officially online
- Configurator confirms pricing, which starts at $24,425 with shipping
- Latest Mustang will reach dealerships nationwide later this fall
You can now configure the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang online. Ford recently launched the Mustang's configurator, which is an online tool that lets drivers select and preview options, colors and interior choices ahead of the sports car's launch this fall.
In addition to letting drivers check out their dream Mustang, the configurator also confirms various pricing details. For example, the 2015 Mustang starts at $24,425 with shipping when you select the base-level 305-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 engine. Add a convertible soft-top and you're looking at a $5,500 price bump, meaning that the least expensive Mustang convertible starts at just under $30,000 with destination.
Drivers who would rather have more power can choose from two different options. For those interested in efficiency, there's a 2.3-liter turbocharged EcoBoost 4-cylinder, which is more powerful than the Mustang V6. That model starts at $25,995 with shipping, while the EcoBoost convertible -- only offered in upscale Premium guise -- starts at $35,495 with shipping.
Even more power is available in the Mustang GT, which features its traditional V8 engine under the hood. That model, which makes 420 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque, starts at $32,925 with shipping. As with the EcoBoost model, Ford is only offering the Mustang GT convertible in its Premium trim level, which starts at a pricey $42,425 with shipping.
All Mustang models feature a wide range of standard equipment, including high-intensity headlights, remote keyless entry, a backup camera, push-button starting, Ford's unique MyKey technology and air conditioning. As you might expect, options are plentiful, ranging from larger wheels to a blind spot monitoring system, navigation and adaptive cruise control.
According to Ford, the 2015 Mustang goes on sale this fall. We suspect the fastback coupe will debut first, with the convertible following soon after.
