  • Pricing for the 2013 Honda Fit remains consistent.
  • CR-V prices increase $400 across the model lineup.
  • The price of the base Odyssey LX rises by $200.
  • The Pilot LX goes up by $800.

Pricing and equipment changes have been announced for Honda's versatile 2013 models in all sizes, from the subcompact Fit hatchback to the spacious Pilot SUV. Models such as the Fit and CR-V are unchanged for the 2013 model year. On the larger side of Honda's model lineup, the Odyssey minivan and the Pilot 3-row SUV receive updated equipment. Changes to the MSRP for 2013 models vary, with some remaining unchanged and others increasing by up to $800.

Across the Fit model lineup, MSRP remains consistent with 2012 pricing. Honda reports no equipment changes for the Fit, but one new exterior color choice is available, as Midnight Plum Pearl replaces Orange Burst Metallic paint. The base Fit starts at $15,325, while the top-trim Fit Sport with navigation is priced at $19,690.

An all-new CR-V 5-passenger crossover debuted last year and, like the Fit, returns unchanged for 2013. But CR-V prices rise slightly, with a $400 increase across the model lineup, bringing the MSRP of the base CR-V LX to $22,695. At the top of the CR-V lineup is the all-wheel drive EX-L model with navigation, now priced at just over $30,000.

Unlike the smaller Fit and CR-V models, the popular Odyssey minivan receives some equipment updates, such as a standard backup camera and a new center stack for the base LX model. Pricing for the most affordable Odyssey rises by only $200. That's not bad considering that updates include a new 8-inch color Multi-Information Display, Bluetooth and USB inputs. The 2013 Odyssey LX is priced at $28,575. For the 2013 Odyssey EX and EX-L models, Honda raised prices by only $100. The top-trim 2013 Odyssey EX-L Touring Elite is priced just under $44,000.

Equipment updates for the 2013 Pilot are similar to those for the Odyssey, with a backup camera added as standard equipment and the new Multi-Information Display, automatic climate controls, Bluetooth and USB inputs. Prices for the base 2013 Pilot LX models are $800 higher than equivalent 2012 models. The rest of the lineup gets a $400 price hike for 2013. The front-wheel-drive Pilot LX remains under $30,000, while at the top of the Pilot range the Touring model--with 4-wheel drive, navigation and rear seat entertainment--comes in at $41,170.

Honda's pricing is usually straightforward, and these changes follow suit. Prices are consistent or only modestly higher for models that remain unchanged. For models that see substantial price hikes, like the Pilot LX, extra equipment is offered. These 2013 Honda models arrive on dealers' lots September 6.

What it means to you: From hatchbacks to 3-row SUVs, Honda's versatile 2013 models continue to offer good value with quality, efficiency and high resale value. The 2013 Fit, CR-V, Odyssey and Pilot arrive soon.
