Share Your Perfect Road Trip to Win a New Nissan Versa
Nissan is inviting drivers to plan their own road trips for the new Versa. In return for submitting their route on Nissan's new My Versa Road Trip website, they will have a chance to win a 2012 Nissan Versa sedan and make their dream trip a reality. They can also choose friends to share their trip with online.
The Versa sedan is all-new for 2012, and continues to offer exceptional value in its class. Though you can no longer get one for less than $10,000, the new Versa is still the cheapest new car in America. But the 2012 Versa feels more expensive than it is thanks to thorough updates inside and out including a more refined design, more standard features than before, and higher quality materials than many of its competitors.
The all-new Versa Sedan gives us a lot to work with, literally, with the most space, legroom, headroom, trunk room, and technology per dollar than any car in America," said Jon Brancheau, Nissan's VP of Marketing for North America.
Experts say the numbers translate well in real-world driving. Jason Allan, Editor for KBB.com, calls the 2012 Versa "a condensed version of a comfortable mid-size sedan."
Comfort is just what passengers need on a long road trip. Indeed, one Versa fan has already mapped out a journey of 6,414 miles at MyVersaRoadTrip.com. Nissan will continue to accept entries through October 19, and six winners will be chosen and announced November 14. Winners' Versas will be fitted with cameras so they can share their complimentary 4 day/3 night road trips with friends online.
The interactive promotion includes slick Google-powered mapping and is Facebook Connect enabled - well suited for Nissan's target Versa buyers, who Brancheau says are young and highly social online.
The "My Versa Road Trip" campaign got a boost from comedian Adam Corolla when he interviewed Nissan Director of Website and Social Media Marketing Erich Marx on his popular podcast, The Adam Carolla Show.
As shoppers increasingly favor online interaction over traditional media, automakers like Nissan are creating innovative new approaches to promote their products.
