2013 Honda Accord: An Accord For Everyone
The more time we spend in our long-term 2013 Honda Accord, the more we're impressed with it. That's especially true as we compare it to other cars in its class. Every time we drive a competing car, we come away thinking the Accord may just be the best midsize sedan available. Of course, we're also fond of other models like the all-new Mazda6 and Nissan Altima. But the Accord offers such a complete package of ride, handling, fuel economy, trunk space, options and interior comfort that it's clear the newly redesigned Honda Accord is a excellent all-around car, a car you can live with every day, a car that seamlessly fits into your life.
We recently had the chance to drive an Accord V6 coupe with a 6-speed manual transmission, which left us equally impressed. At first, it feels like a totally different car, offering improved control and a sporty exhaust note. Handling is also a little sharper than it is in the sedan.
But the more time we spent with the Accord V6 coupe, the more we realized that all the important stuff was still there - the stuff that makes it an Accord. The upscale interior materials, the comfortable ride, the spacious cabin - all still included. But none of the coupe's benefits seem to make our long-term Accord sedan look bad. Instead, it just enhances our opinion of the Accord as an overall model.
In essence, there's an Accord for everyone. That's even true of shoppers looking for great fuel-economy, as the Accord Plug-In Hybrid is due out later this year. As a result, it's easy to see why the 2013 Honda Accord is so wildly popular.
