ADDITIONAL MODEL INFORMATION
2011 Toyota Camry

Vanessa Leigh: In a world where Kleenex means tissue and Coke means cola, Toyota has earned the same brand recognition among mid-size sedans with its tried and true Camry.

Ryan Lee: The Camry lives up to its status as the unofficial standard bearer for the mid-size family sedan by covering all the trim-level bases.

Vanessa: That's right. There's the modestly equipped base, the mid-level LE, the sporty SE, the top-of-the-line XLE, and of course the eco-friendly Hybrid.

Ryan: Now, the 2011 Toyota Camry may not be the sexiest car out there, but it is a really nice mid-size sedan with a proven record of durability and high resale value.

Vanessa: Plus, the Camry is very competitively priced, and the fuel economy is pretty good, too. Even the non-hybrid 4-cylinder gets 22 miles per gallon in the city and 33 on the highway.

All Camrys come with standard features like air conditioning, cruise control, power locks, windows and mirrors and AM/FM/CD sound systems with six speakers.

Ryan: The LE model adds features like power driver's seat and remote keyless entry.

Vanessa: And for under $30,000, the range-topping XLE like this one comes with a dual-zone climate control. You get a 440-watt, eight-speaker JBL sound system with a six-disc changer and things like Bluetooth connectivity.

Ryan: Not to mention power moonroof, reclining rear seats, sporty aluminum wheels and foglamps.

The base Camry comes equipped with a 169-horsepower 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, which you can get with either a six-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission. The higher trim levels add the option of a 268-horsepower 3.5 V6, which comes with a six-speed automatic transmission. And of course, all Camrys come with front-wheel drive.

Vanessa: The steering and overall handling feels pretty, pretty snug. Not what a driving enthusiast would be looking for, but it's certainly confident. I mean, it's clear that the Camry was designed to be a safe and comfortable ride.

Ryan: Yeah. The wind and road noise is actually pretty minimal. I like the fact that there's plenty of leg and head room. Almost as much as a full-size sedan.

Vanessa: And the Camry has a lot of value, too. The base model starts at $20,195, and the luxury XLE with a V6 starts at $29,845.

Ryan: For those looking for a dependable, family-friendly daily driver, it's easy to see why the Camry remains such a popular choice.

Vanessa: Yeah, it may not be that exciting, but it was really made to be a safe, reliable and comfortable ride.
