With S, SE, SEL and Sport trim, the 2011 Ford Fusion is joined by the Fusion Hybrid as presenting a vehicle fitting many ranging of personalities. Engine choices start with a four-cylinder, 3.5 liter power plant offered as the base choice on S, SE and SEL models channeled through a 6-speed manual transmission with an optional automatic available. Optional V-6 power is offered via a 240 horsepower Duratec 3-liter engine. The Fusion Sport receives the most powerful power plant fitting inside the mid-sized car with a 3.5 liter, 263 horsepower V-6. Six-cylinder powered 2011 Ford Fusions come only with the six-speed SelectShift automatic gearbox. The 2011 Ford Fusion Hybrid produces 191 horsepower, but continues to vow over 700-miles of travel on a single tank of fuel. All 2011 Fusion models are equipped with safety features such as 6 airbags, anti-lock brakes with electronic stability control and a tire pressure monitoring system.
