Using electricity only, the hybrid can achieve approximately 25 mph, while the cylinder-deactivation system helps reduce fuel consumption at higher speeds, and the regenerative braking system replenishes the batteries at stops. GMC Yukon Hybrid fuel economy is 21 mpg city/22 mpg hwy for 2WD, and the 4WD gets 20/20 mpg. With a maximum towing capacity of 6,200 pounds, the Yukon Hybrid's versatile interior seats eight passengers and offers up to 108.9 cubic feet of cargo room. Standard safety equipment includes antilock disc brakes, traction control, full-length side curtain airbags, OnStar communications system, and a rearview camera.
