The 2008 Jeep Commander comes available in two trim levels the Limited and the Overland in either two or four wheel drive, with four doors and lots of interior room for seven passengers and all their gear. The Base Limited features a 235 horsepower 4.7-liter V8 with 4WD and a maximum towing capacity of 6,500 pounds while the Overland comes equipped with a 330 horsepower 5.7-liter V8 with 4WD and a maximum towing capacity of 7,200 pounds. Standard equipment includes Brake Assist, front and rear anti-roll bars, sequential shift control and a remote starter.
