Upgraded for 2008, the Lucerne gets a mid-model refresh with several new safety design features that transition it closer to the luxury car segment than ever before. The base model features a 3.8-liter V6 engine that produces 200 horsepower, and the 3.6-liter increases power to 240. The Lucerne Super is the most powerful of the group (replacing last year?s CSX model) with a NorthStar V8 generating 292 horsepower and 288 lb-ft. of torque ? up in horsepower and down slightly in torque from its predecessor. Now standard on the Super is Stabilitrac and Magnetic Ride, both options that were available on the prior model.
