Even with its widely recognizable retro design that debuted in 2005, the 2008 Ford Mustang is every bit a modern-day sports car. Available in Coupe or Convertible body styles, the Mustang features engines ranging from a 4.0-liter V6 to the top-of-the-line 5.4-liter supercharged V8 available in the Shelby GT500 and GT500KR. Buyers have a choice between a 5-speed manual transmission, a 6-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic, with horsepower ranging from 210 in the base model to 500 in the high-end Shelby GT500. The Mustang features a long list of standard equipment.
