For Sale on AutoTrader.com: Wilderness-Ready TV Tundra
Summer is a great time to go outdoors and get in touch with nature. Of course, not all cars are able to get to that perfect summer getaway camping site. Some trails require something that has been specially modified to take on the worst that nature can offer.
The show features Brian Fisher, an ATV enthusiast who treks across some of the best trails in the country, in order to share his passion for riding and some helpful tips with his viewers.
The Tundra's current owner, Benjamin Nelson, said he hasn't taken it out for any serious off-roading yet. "[Fisher] kept it in such nice shape for the show," Nelson said "I would feel bad if I used it for what it was made to do."
ATV World donated many of the parts on the truck to the show. The truck originally came with a set of ATV World decals that Nelson said he had removed when he bought the truck. Otherwise the Tundra is exactly as it was when it was featured on The Outdoor Channel.
The Tundra is equipped with a special air ride suspension system that can be raised or lowered from inside the cabin.
Since the truck was used for an ATV show, it has been equipped with loads of off-roading and outdoorsy goodies. The bed cover comes with a set of ramps and has been designed so someone can ride an ATV on top of it and strap it in for transportation.
The Warn winch on the front bumper has more than enough grunt to pull a stuck ATV out of the mud, and it can even free the Tundra's nearly 6,000 pound body from the worst of situations.
Nelson said he is firm in his asking price of $42,999, which is a bit over the KBB estimated value for similar Tundras - but those values are hard to estimate when vehicles have this many aftermarket add-ons.
