Guy Fieri's Maserati: For Sale on AutoTrader
- Fieri bought this Maserati new
- It includes custom red badges and black wheels
- Fieri's garage includes many other fun cars
It's no surprise that bold TV chef Guy Fieri drives a flashy Italian sports car, or at least he did. This 2011 Maserati GranTurismo Cabriolet, once owned by the Food Network star, is now for sale at Jaguar Aston-Martin of San Diego.
Painted black with a black interior, Fieri's Maserati boasts several personal touches. The most striking are red emblems -- a perfect match for the convertible's bright red brake calipers. The Maserati also has black wheels, which help it stand out even more. According to John, the sales manager at Jaguar Aston-Martin of San Diego, none of these items came from Maserati's factory.
"[Fieri] customized it exactly how he wanted it," said John, who mentioned that the TV chef even painted the small fender badges from the car's designer, Pininfarina. "It's murdered out, but those red details make it different from anything else."
It's no surprise that Fieri wanted to stand out. After winning Food Network's The Next Food Network Star reality show, the restaurateur became famous for his crazy hair and excitable attitude. Fieri's best-known program Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives takes him to various restaurants to sample traditional American-style food.
But Guy Fieri is more than just a TV personality -- he's also a car nut. That's his personal 1967 Camaro SS you see on "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," and it shares a garage with other sporty rides, such as a 2007 Chevrolet Corvette, 1968 Pontiac Firebird and 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle. But it's not all American muscle: In addition to the Maserati, Fieri also owned a Lamborghini Gallardo, which was stolen in a high-profile theft earlier this year.
For those looking to pick up one of Fieri's cars in a more legal way, this 2011 GranTurismo is a good choice -- and at $124,900 it's a great value compared to its new price of more than $150,000.
What it means to you: This all-black Maserati is a sporty ride with an exciting history.
